Mehrangarh Fort
Built in 1459 AD, the fort is splendidly perched on a 125m long hill
and spread over an area of 5 km, making it one of the largest forts
in the country. An architectural marvel in itself, the fort holds a large
collection of royal paraphernalia on exhibition and is home to a
number of charming palaces - including the more popular Moti
Mahal, Jhanki Mahal and Sheesh Mahal.
Rajasthan International Folk Festival (RIFF) not to be missed,
takes place annually at this fort. The Gateway Hotel is just 15
minutes drive to this UNESCO credited world heritage site.

Umaid Bhawan Palace (Museum)

Perched high above the desert capital of Jodhpur, Umaid Bhawan
Palace the last of the great palaces of India and one of the largest
residences in the world set amidst 26 acres of lush gardens.
Now part hotel, part museum, the Umaid Bhawan Palace is a
perfect example of early modern period architecture.
Constructed by Maharaja Umaid Singh, it was essentially initiated for
the upliftment of its people, facing the hardships of famine.

Osian Village Desert Safari
Osian an oasis in the desert, located near Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, is

a famous ancient trading town, known for its exquisite camel safaris and
undulating terrain punctuated by desert stretches which provide a
brilliant opportunity for people to experience the Thar Desert at its
spectacular best.
Osian is famous as home to the cluster of ruined Brahmanical and Jain
temples dating from the 8th to 11th centuries, most of which have stood
the ravages of time.
It is also popular for its camel rides during sundown. Special camps
and resorts are built for night overs, where along with thematic evening
performances you can enjoy a choice of authentic cuisine arranged in
the traditional style. Situated 60 kms from Jodhpur, it is a half-day
excursion, best done in the evening, just before the sunset.

Bishnoi Village Cultural Enlightenment
No trip in Rajasthan is completed without a visit to the Bishnoi village.
The Guda Bishnoi, is a group of immaculately kept villages of the Bishnoi
community. A splendid treat of nature, the village thrives in plant and
animal life, including the near extinct Chinkara and Black Buck that roam
about freely on these lands.
One can choose between camel, Jeep and camel-cart safaris. Enroute
to Bishnoi villages, one can see desert wild life, like black bucks,
chinkaras, blue bulls, Desert foxes, hares, partridges. Moreso, on the way
catch the glimses of craftsmen at work, as well.
A beautiful drive which is one half day excursion, preferably done in the
morning half, after the breakfast. Lunch can also be organised with
prior intimation.
