This series depicts flowers that bloom in the dark of night. They hope for a pollinator, a
moth or perhaps a bat. Many of the blooms will die before dawn. The delicate beauty of these
flowers is captured by the wide tonal scale of the platinum process which allows both detail in
the highlights of the flowers and velvety rich darks in the shadows of the leaves.
