Celebrating QC Trade Shows and Diamond Jubilee

The QC government invites all interested Microentrepreneurs,


Filipino Inventors and Cooperative organizations including group
associations to participate and exhibit in the annual Quezon City
Trade Shows 2015 which will be held at the QC halls Risen Garden
(Covered Walk) on October 5, 2015 to October 30, 2015.
This program is an integral part of the Citys program development
towards one cohesive marketing and service unit and a marketing
platform to promote QCs economic drivers among the sectors of
Micro and Small Entrepreneurs, Cooperatives with group enterprises
and Filipino Inventors.
This 3-in-1 Show representing three client groups in a month-long
promotion will feature different products, inventive ideas and
services from categories of (1) Environment (2) Processed Foods (3)
Wearables and (4) Housewares. It is also an access to an
entrepreneurial opportunity which will generate needed information
for the potential stakeholders that are interested in value-for-money
investment along these potential investment sectors. As a
marketing framework, the Trade Show stimulates an engaging
structure of small business-to-bigger business matching program,
enhanced to profit our City producers and service providers in a
wider arena and competitive investing ventures.
Parallel events will feature a Seminar on National Operational
Assessment of Hazards (October 6) and Invent School (October 8-9)
in partnership with DOST for the Filipino Inventors Expo and Trade
Fair. The next two weeks from October 12 16 and October 19 23
of the Micro and Small Entrepreneurs Trade Show, will be a series of
talk and seminars on enhancing Marketing, Financing and
Entrepreneurial Capacity building in coordination with various mSME
program partners and resource speakers. The last week from
October 26 30 reserves for the Cooperative organizations and
enterprises. In partnership with Cooperative groups and institutions,
there would be scheduled training and seminars for new regulations
and circulars concerning Coops building, organization and
products/services. The Show will also coincide with the Citys
Diamond Jubilee Year culminating event-celebration during the
whole month of October.
The QC Trade Shows will also serve as a platform for micro and small
entrepreneurs preparatory-enhancing capability to a much
anticipated intensified environment of competition when the ASEAN
Economic Community commence. In this new open market era, our
mSMEs could muster all assistance and resources they can access
that are readily available, through various channels of institutional
provisions. On top of this, it is imperative for the sector to engage

and introduce more innovative ideas and entrepreneurial practices


to leverage in this time of open regional economy.
The events organizer identifies objectives such as:
1. Promote and showcase Micro and Small Entrepreneurs
products and services.
2. Establish market linkages for the sector to develop more the
sustainable networks for future Business-2-Business(B2B) and
Business 2 Consumers(B2C) reference.
3. Create a climate of consciousness and patronage of Filipino
inventive ideas, products and processes that could help
address the socio-economic development goals of Quezon City
and provide a venue for showcasing Filipino inventions that
are ready for commercial use in the priority investment
sectors of Quezon City
4. Provide Quezon City cooperatives and group enterprises with
access to market.
5. Engage and introduce more innovative ideas and
entrepreneurial practices to leverage in this time of open
regional economy
Target participants for the show includes: QCs Micro and Small
Entrepreneurs, Husay Mag-Business sa Sikap Buhay
clients(identified LGU clients of levelled-up micro enterprises,
Puhunang Pangkaunlaran ng Sikap Buhay group members (LGU
client groups of Micro-finance members that are livelihood-based
entrepreneurs), Individual members of Inventors Association,
Cooperatives, Group Enterprises and Business Opportunity partners.
While buyer-visitors identified are from targeted barangays ,
Barangay officials and personnel from several units of the local
government, NGO/Pos, invited Tertiary/Secondary School students
and opportunity hunters from other mSMEs, cooperatives, inventors,
and identified corporate investors.
