Brothers and sisters in Christ, shall we all stand for the entry of
the choirs and ministers.

A very good evening, brothers and sisters in Christ, we warmly
welcome you to the 2016 joint Xmas service and parade organised
by the Sri Aman branch of the association of churches in sarawak.

The Sri Aman branch ACS is comprised of 7 church, which are St.
Luke's Anglican church, our Lady Queen of peace romantic
Catholic Church, shi en Methodist Church, sing eng Methodist
church, sidang injil borneo (SIB) church, seventh day adventist
church (SDA) and Baptist Church Sri Aman.

This year the theme of our joint Xmas service is 'Jesus. The saviour
of all nations. Tonight let's all come together to remember the holy
birth of our Lord Jesus, to praise and worship him, spread the good
news and to have fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ
from different denominations.

To begin our service this evening, let's all sing the opening carol
"hark the herald angels sing".

Please be seated.
Now we would like to call upon the chairman of this year's ACS
joint Xmas service, the venerable archdeacon chimbie bunnies of
St.luke's church to deliver the welcoming address.

Shall we now stand and sing the carol "joy to the world"

We remain standing for the opening prayer.

Please be seated for the scripture readings

The old testament reading is taken from the book of Isaiah,


chapter 9, verses 6 and 7. It will be read in English by the
representative from the SDA church.

The new testament reading is taken from Acts chapter 17, verses
24 to 31. This will be read in Chinese by the representative from
the Methodist Church.

Shall we all stand for the Gospel.
The Gospel of our Lord according to St.luke's, chapter 2, verses 814. This will be read in iban by the representative from the SIB
church.

The sermon this evening will be given by Rev. Augustine Jepy from
our Lady Queen of peace roman Catholic Church.

Brothers and sisters in Christ. Let us all unite in prayer to give
thanks to God for his son, Jesus our saviour. Let's pray for the
world, the church, for all men and for all nations. Once again, we
call upon the chairman to lead the intercession.

The congregation shall remain seated.


Brothers and sisters in Christ. Before we stand and sing the next
carol for the collection of offerings, kindly take note that there will
be ushers going around with offering bags to collect your
offerings.

And now let us all stand for the carol, "the first noel" followed by
the thanksgiving prayer.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, let us stand once again for the carol
"o come o ye faithful" before we begin our procession.

Anyhow for the highlight of this evening's event. In a moment, we


shall begin the parade around Sri Aman town. The Methodist boys
and girls brigade will be leading the way.

Please take note of the two gates. Gate A and gate B. I will
announce now which gates you will be queuing out from.

Let's all stand and sing Our final carol tonight, which is silent
night. And finally the benediction by the chairman.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, the ACS joint Xmas service has
come to an end. We would like to thank everybody for attending
tonight's service. A big thank you to the organising committee for
making this event a success. And most of all, all thanks and praise
to God almighty for his presence and blessing on the service
tonight.

Last but not least, we wish everybody a very blessed Christmas


and Happy new year 2016. Good night and God bless.
