Servicing small business clients for short and long term bookkeeping projects,
specializing in account reconciliation to produce journal entries and clean up
errors in order that bank accounts properly reconcile and correct financial
statements may be produced. I do sales and use taxes, payroll and payroll taxes
for some clients. I also perform full charge bookkeeping through trial balance,
including A/R, A/P, and collections. The software I use includes QuickBooks,
Peachtree, Sage ERP 300 (formerly Sage ERP Accpac 500), Microsoft Word,

lines taxes in four states. Handled professional license renewals and continuing
education course scheduling. Participated in the conversion from Accpac to
QuickBooks, and in the process cleaned up errors in the Accpac records. The
software I used included Accpac, QuickBooks Online, Word, Lotus, and Excel.

Set up the QuickBooks accounting system, purchase order system, and filing
system for the office. Handled all bookkeeping functions through trial balance
including cash receipts, reconciling credit cards, petty cash, sales and use tax,
weekly in house payroll, payroll taxes, and accounts payable. Managed a staff of
one full time and four part-time employees including scheduling, training, and
participation in employee reviews. Set up travel arrangements when the store
had dealer tables at card shows or gaming conventions. Also handled mail order
fulfillment and eBay auctions.

Accounts Payable Supervisor

Leading a team of 3 accounting clerks, we processed full cycle accounts payable
at the rate of approximately 500 invoices per month. As the supervisor, I set up
new vendors, reconciled accounts, and resolved vendor issues. I was
responsible for training clerks, participating in employee reviews, and handling
any employee disputes. I was also responsible for implementing company and
department policies and procedures in conjunction with upper management and
human resources. In 1991, I participated in the conversion from a manual
bookkeeping system to a computerized system. Duties included matching
invoices to purchase orders, batching and coding invoices, data entry on a MAS
90 system, and check runs.
