Artist Statement
The beginning of my work in process starts systematically,
With a concrete idea that needs result and transform into something I can touch physically and have to work with for a certain amount of time.
My intuition starts the flow, while my hands, body and mind finish it.
In the eyes of the beholder I may seem rough in my method of working with materials,
having a philosophy of not giving a fuck, or doing something aesthetically raw and-or controversial.
When it comes to the truest depth I always care and think a lot before acting.
Doing things that comes to nature, letting my impulse decide what should be done.
Material is a friend of mine and we understand each other.
I like to think that this way of working is a nice dance of balance that suits me.
My way of finding material to work with,
I prefer not to buy stuff.
If my eyes get a hold of something that encounters my path and immediately gets me interested,
that can be found in the streets, a forest, or outside for free.
I pick it up, bring it back home for further development and make it blend in with my thoughts and ideas.
Bringing stuff from everyday life to context is very pleasant.
I work in different fields with: Installation, Text, Video, Painting, Sculpture, Performance, Sound and Photography.
I want to highlight a theme, question and action that I think people can relate to,
Reality, Consumption, Spirituality, Intuition, Society, Activism, Criminality and Nature.
I want to keep developing my channel of creativity with the right measurement that is needed.
