Dow Corning 163 Additive is
acceptable for food contact use
under FDA Regulations 21 CFR
175.105, 175.300, 176.170, 176.180,
176.200, and 176.210.

HOW TO USE
Dow Corning 163 Additive is effective
at low concentrations. The amount
required depends on the type of
formulation, the solvent it contains,
the resin system and total system

solids. Dow Corning 163 Additive is


generally effective at concentrations
ranging from <0.05 to 2 weight
percent, based upon total formulation. This additive can be added
during the let-down or be postadded. Characteristics may vary
when used with different systems
and formulations. Dow Corning 163
Additive is compatible with acrylic,
epoxy, polyesters, polyurethane and
vinyl systems. Thorough preproduction testing is necessary to ensure
expected performance.

USE LIMITATIONS
This product is neither tested nor
represented as suitable for medical
or pharmaceutical uses. Not for
human injection.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE


Dow Corning 163 Additive has a
shelf life of 18 months from date of
manufacture when stored below
36C (97F) and above 2C (36F).
Refer to product packaging for
Use By date.

PACKAGING
Dow Corning 163 Additive is available in 4-oz (113-g) samples, 40-lb
(18.1-kg) pails and 440-lb (199.5-kg)
drums.
