Pre- reading
Pupils are asked to complete a mind map related to the things that we can do at the places in school. (Appendix 2).
Q and A sessions with the pupils to get them to be interested.
Q and A sessions are to elicit knowledge from the pupils.
Pupils are introduced to the new vocabularies
Pupils are asked to look at/guess the meaning of the new vocabularies.
Some of the vocabularies are taught to the pupils using pictures associated with the word
The other vocabularies are taught using explanation and contextual clues.
Teacher reads aloud the story of Faizals Day at School at mah-jong paper.
The teacher asks some interactive questions to get feedback from the pupils as the teacher reads aloud the reading
text.
