DISINFECTION PROCEDURE:

OXONIA DISINFECTION
1) Proper attire of all the personell who will participate in the activity shall be observed.
(wearing of the ff: suit, boots/shoe cover, goggles, mask, gloves)
2) Prepare and mix 1.850 Liters Oxonia in 600 L water to obtain 400ppm of 4623 L volume of well once injected (600 L water for preparation added to 4023 L inherent water well content). (3a) (3b)
3) Start dosing the Oxonia solution to the well until the target concentration is reached (Oxonia: 400ppm).
Circulate the well and check the concentration through the sampling valve. If the concentration is equal to 400 ppm then proceed to the next procedure. If <400 ppm then continue adding oxonia solution
until the required concentration obtained.
4) Once targeted concentration is reached, stop the loop circulation and prepare 4m3 (use 1.6 liters oxonia in 4m3 water) of volume of sanitizing agent concentration
(Oxonia 400ppm) using the buffer tanks.
Inject the the volume into the well , using a surface pump through the hoses connected to the water well(spray ball), gravel make up and CIP pipe.

5) Check concentration three(3) times after the injection of 4m3 of volume of sanitizing agent concentration.
6) Restart the loop circulation 5 min every hour for 6 hours connected to gravel make up, water well(spray ball) and CIP pipe.
Check concentration and maintain 400 ppm solution by adding oxonia solution.
7) Start flushing the well at the maximum speed of the pump for 3 hours. Check the pH of the water. If < 6 then extend the flushing. Stop the pump once 6 - 8 pH obtained then proceed to chlorine disinfection
Beware of the flushed water management (chemicals solution cannot be discharged to natural environment or sewage system without any pre-treatment and quality controls).
CHLORINE DISINFECTION

1. Prepare and mix a total of 1.42 Kg Calcium Hypochlorite in 600 L to obtain the 200 ppm of 4623 L volume of well once injected(600 L water for preparation added to 4023 L inherent water well content) (3a) (
2) Start dosing the chlorine solution until the target concentration is reached (Chlorine 200ppm).
Circulate the well and check the concentration through the sampling valve. If the concentration is equal to 200ppm then proceed to the next procedure. If <200 ppm, then continue adding of chlorine solution
until the required concentration obtained.
3) Once targeted concentration is reached, stop the loop circulation and prepare 4m3 (use 1.23 Kg of Calcium Hypocholrite) of volume of sanitizing agent concentration
(Chlorine 200ppm) using the buffer tanks. Inject the the volume into the well , using a surface pump through the hoses connected to the water well(spray ball), gravel make up pipe and CIP pipe.
4) Check concentration three(3) times after the injection of 4m3 of volume of sanitizing agent concentration.
6) Restart the loop circulation 5 min every hour for 6 hours to water well(spray ball), gravel make up and CIP pipe (maintaining 200 ppm)
Check concentration and maintain 200 ppm solution in hourly circulation.
6) Continue the loop circulation 5 min every hour for 6 hours to water well(spray ball), gravel make up and CIP pipe (maintaining 100 ppm)
Check concentration and maintain 100 ppm solution in hourly circulation.
8) After of 12 hours circulation, Start flushing the well at the maximum speed of the pump. Beware of the flushed water management
(chemicals solution cannot be discharged to natural environment or sewage system without any pre-treatment and quality controls).
9) Collect sample when residual chlorine is >10 ppm, 0.5-1.5 ppm and below 0.5 ppm
Subject water sample to micro testing without 3% Sodium Thiosulfate and with Sodium Thiosulfate.
NOTE: Repeat disinfection when failed micro result is obtained.
