ENVELOPES AND POCKETS

POCKET ALBUM
By Sandi Genovese
Transform ordinary envelopes into a special pocket album. Select envelopes that are large enough to
accommodate the photos you want to store inside. Create a cover for your pocket album with a unique magnet closure.

fig.1

1. Select several envelopes and fold the top flaps

backwards. (fig.1)

2. Lick the adhesive on the flap to attach it to the next

envelope. (fig.1)

3. Line the interior of each envelope with patterned paper.

4. Cut photo mats for each envelope and create top tabs
with stickers stuck together that overlap the mat. Position each
tab so that no two tabs are in the same place. (fig.2) If you want to
fig.2 conceal the inside of the first envelope attach an extra envelope
(with the flap tucked inside) to the top of the envelope stack.
Punch a half of a circle in the top to make it easy to remove the
title page sitting inside. (fig.3)
fig.3

5. Attach photos and embellishments to the mats and journal on the fig.5
back of each mat. (fig.4)

6. Create a wrapper to hold the pocket album by folding a sleeve

around the stacked envelopes. Fasten the stack of envelopes to the
wrapper with adhesive. Attach a self-adhesive magnet strip to each
end of the wrapper to create a closure for the album. (fig.5)

7. Decorate the album cover with complimentary papers and

stickers. Clip a card to the cover band with a colored paper
clip that is sandwiched between matching stickers. (fig.6)
