Introduction
Program Objectives
The program offers postgraduate courses in a broad
range of subjects in Electronic Engineering. The program
is deliberately broad-based to provide a balanced view of
the state-of-the-ar t for maximum flexibility.
Target Students
T h e p a r t - t i m e p r o g r a m i s t a r g e t e d a t wo r k i n g
professionals in industr y who wish to upgrade their
knowledge in a broad range of subjects in Electronic
Engineering. The full-time program is intended for
students who wish to accelerate the completion of
their degree. Fresh graduates who have good academic
record are also our targets.
Admission Requirement
Applicants must hold a bachelors degree in electrical,
electronic or computer engineering, or a related field, or
an equivalent qualification from a university or ter tiar y
institution.
All classes will be conducted in English. Applicants from
Universities where English is not the major medium of
instruction will be considered on a case-by-case basis. In
general, English proof such as Test of English as a Foreign
Language (TOEFL) or International English Language
Testing System (IELTS) is required.
Credit Transfer
Credit transfer may be granted to students in recognition
of studies satisfactorily completed elsewhere. Application
must be made to the program office within the first term
after admission. All credit transfer must be approved by the
Program Director and are subject to the normal university,
school and program requirements on credit transfer.
Lecture Venue
Classes will be held at HKUST campus at Clear Water
Bay, Kowloon, Hong Kong. Students may take a minibus
or a KMB bus from either Hang Hau MTR station or
Choi Hung MTR station. The traveling time is around
10 minutes.
Scholarship
Various scholarships are available. Please refer to the
program web page for details.
