Column for 2, 3 or 4 street floodlights.

Conical steel column 4 mm thick and 9 metres high with an open top. With a base of approximately 400 mm in
diameter and 900 mm high, equipped with a minimum 400 x 300 mm door, suitable for installing the connection
box inside.
Shall include a square base plate 550 mm on the sides and 12 mm thick with anchor bolts and location
template.
The upper part shall feature a cover formed by an inverted UPN 80 profile welded to a circular plate of 120 mm
in diameter and 10 mm thick, with an inner gap of 40 mm diameter to allow the passage of cables, welded to a
cylinder formed by a tube 210 mm in length and 80 mm in diameter. This cover shall be inserted through the
top of the column and fixed in its interior via three M10 long bolts in the column, which shall permit any
orientation of the cover and therefore of the crossbeam. The floodlights shall be fixed on the UPN 80 profile,
whose length depends on the quantity of floodlights.
The entire assembly shall be hot dip galvanized.
The columns shall include the connection box with separate protections for each light fixture. If they are in a
hazardous location, the boxes shall be metal or polyester (EExde or EExd implementations, respectively). If
they are in safe area, the boxes shall be metallic and watertight.
The boxes shall be equipped with 10 terminals for cross-section cables up to 50 mm2 , 2 x (3Ph+N+G) and
nine terminals, 3 x (Ph+N+G) for 4 mm2 cable. They shall contain 1 magnetothermic switch of adequate calibre
for each lighting device. The minimum interior dimensions of the boxes shall be 300 x 200 x 100 mm. They
shall have two M32 cable inputs for exterior cable and three M25 drill holes for the outputs to the light fixtures,
those that are not used shall have a blind plug. Equipped with suitable brass cable gland.

assembled and connected in the box. Its other end shall be left prepared to connect to the floodlights and/or
street light fixtures onsite. The cable shall be type RVMV 0.6/1 KV, 3 x 4 mm2, Ph+N+G, in colours black, blue
and yellow-green.
The assembly shall be laid out according to plan PE-P-0100.04, page 7
The possible implementations are as follows:
5.2.4.1

9 metre column with crossbeam suitable for two watertight floodlights and watertight connection box
and protection.

This column shall also be used for a floodlight covering the free outputs.
5.2.4.2

box.

This column shall also be used for a floodlight covering the free outputs.
5.2.4.3

9 metre column with crossbeam suitable for three watertight floodlights and watertight connection
box and protection.

5.2.4.4

9 metre column with crossbeam for three watertight or Ex floodlights and connection and Ex
protection box.

5.2.4.5

9 metre column with crossbeam suitable for four watertight floodlights and watertight connection box
and protection.

5.2.4.6

9 metre column with crossbeam for four watertight or Ex floodlights and connection and Ex
protection box.

Column for 2 street floodlights and 1 arm for street light fixture
Straight conical column, with characteristics identical to those described in the above type, and additionally
equipped to a height of 6 m with a seamless metal tube arm according to DIN 2440, 2" in diameter and with
1500 mm overhang. The lower end shall have a sleeve and nozzle and the protruding end shall be prepared for
coupling to the street light fixture with a sleeve of 60 mm diameter and 110 mm in length.
The crossbeam shall be suitable for housing two floodlights such as those required in item 5.2.2

INSPECTIONS AND TESTS

7.1.

Inspection
During lighting material manufacturing, the manufacturer must allow inspection personnel to access their
workshops, for the purpose of checking the development and state of the works in progress.
The inspection results, whether positive or negative, does not relieve the manufacturer of supplying lighting
material which satisfactorily comply with standards and the requirements of this specification.

7.2.

Testing

7.2.1. Procedures
Testing shall be carried out in the manufacturer's workshops at their expense and under their control; they shall
be witnessed by a Repsol inspector or representative. The manufacturer should issue protocols for the tests
performed, with all the necessary information and the results of measurements, even if the Repsol inspectors
decline to witness them.
