Typical days at work

During typical workday, manager are responsible for overseeing his teams as they progress
on various management campaigns. He check in and help them with any issues they may be
having such as doing mock-ups or securing rights to songs. He keep in touch with clients,
update them on their progress and make sure client are satisfied with the promotional
materials. A managers daily life is different from other person to some extent. He or she has
to involve in various works and duties such as Traditional management, Communication,
HRM activities, Networking and others. These types of activities are expected from a
manager.

Traditional Management
Simply, Traditional management means planning, working, decision making, controlling by a
manager every day during his office hour. These duties are must for manager at all type of
organization. It is also called the basic activities for a manager. A manager should spend
around 32% of his or her whole work for serving the companies traditional activities.

Mr. Abu Raihan does his traditional activities quiet good. He thinks that this type of work
makes him visible to the organization. From the morning, he starts his work with planning
and after that he pass the whole day by doing strategic plan, work with other employees,
controlling subordinates. He spent almost around 35% percent in traditional management.

Communication
Communication is the most effective way to make work easier. Most of manager use these
opportunity and increase their commutation with downward and upward employees. Proper
communication includes exchanging routine information, paper work, using telephone,
sending mails etc. Around 29% should spend for manager to communicate.

Mr. Abu Raihan prefers communication as the most effective way to make linkage between
different levels. He usually uses mobile and internet for communication but he described that
he gets the most useful response from mobile or telephone rather that other communication
tools. Mr. Abu Raihan spent around 25% in communication from his overall work time.

HRM activities
HRM (human resource management) activities contain motivating, recruiting, staffing,
training process. These types of activities are the backbone of an organization. These works
are done by experienced and well-educated managers. A manager should spend around 25%
HRM activities.
Though Mr. Abu Raihan is a commercial manager but beside this he has to manager HR and
administrative activities. Whenever a new employee is needed into his company, he has to
involve in recruiting, staffing and training process. Beside the regular managerial work Mr.
Abu Raihan used to busy with HR activities. He spend around 30% of whole work in HRM
activities

Networking
To grow the networking in an organization a manager has to involve in socializing, internal
politics, interacting with outsiders. Networking build a managers image and create a position
in corporate world. Besides doing business companies are involving their manager into
networking to get a visible image. It is ideal to spend 19% in networking.

Mr. Abu Raihan has a different belief about networking. He truly believes in socializing, so
he involve in many social work outside the company. Though he is aware about the benefits
of internal politics, he used to ignore these but he is too much co-operative and interested in
working with others. He used to spend around 10% in networking.
Beside these actives Mr. Abu Raihan used to do many other works, which may be not
categorized under these category but it is serving the company and have a great impact

Mr. Abu Raihan spent most of his time in traditional management and HRM activities. He
thinks that if everyday work is done properly than it is easy to make his position as a
manager. He spent more time in the HRM activities rather than actual time. For this reason,
he is totally aware of the organizations recruitment, training and strategic plan. Mr. Abu
Raihan spends a quit good time in communication which is quite similar to the ideal
percentage. He thinks that it makes easier to work with co-worker because of strong and
frequent communication. Finally, he use less time in network which may considers a negative
impact towards the organization.

Strengths
1. Leadership
Leadership is influence exuding from character. If you have no influence over people, they

business, leadership is welded to performance. Those who are viewed as effective leaders are
those who increase their company's bottom lines. To further confuse the definition of

actually managers as the "leaders" of various management teams. Mr. Abu Raihan has a great

leadership power which helps him to go through all this advantages. By these he guides his
employee to work according with their task.

2. Honesty
Life is a journey where difficult choices have to be made. These choices are often colored
with the fragilities of consequences. But the brave choose with their heart. Honesty is about

Abu Raihan has this power to control his employee in any circumstances.
4. Stamina
Strength of physical constitution; power to endure disease, fatigue, privation, etc. Mr. Abu
Raihan can work for a long time without having any break and by this he can also done his
work in a very short time. Stamina constitutes the principal strength or support of anything;
power of endurance; backbone; vigor; as, the stamina.
Weaknesses

1. Trust
Trust is both and emotional and logical act. Emotionally, it is where you expose your
vulnerabilities to people, but believing they will not take advantage of your openness.
Logically, it is where you have assessed the probabilities of gain and loss, calculating
expected utility based on hard performance data, and concluded that the person in question

will behave in a predictable manner. In practice, trust is a bit of both. We feel trust. Emotions
associated with trust include companionship, friendship, love, agreement, relaxation,

Stress is the body's reaction to a change that requires a physical, mental or emotional
adjustment or response. Stress can come from any situation or thought that makes you feel
frustrated, angry, nervous, or anxious. Stress is caused by an existing stress-causing factor or
stressor. Dealing with a serious illness or caring for someone who is can because a great deal
of stress. It becomes so much difficult for him to work properly under having so much stress.

For any organization it is the most important part is to ensure free transportation system for
every employee. Because for some employee it becomes very difficult for them to find
transport and come to office just at time. By having these facilities employee can give less
effort for searching transport and give more time in their office. There is a free transportation
