Earth Day, Every Day Worksheets

Name ___________________ Date ___________

Last summer, we took a boat ride on the ocean. Dad fished

from one side of the boat and I sat beside him. I saw lots of pretty
fish. My favorite fish had rainbow colors. It swam right near us.
Dad wanted to catch it, but I noticed that its fin was hurt and it
had a hard time swimming. When I told Dad, he changed his
mind. We scooped up the fish and brought it to the aquarium. A
doctor said she would help my little friend, and then send it back to
the sea. I sure hope I see that fish when we return this year.

GRADE TWO/THREE 03

Instructions: Read the story below. Then answer the questions.

2. Why did the authors father change his mind?
