Take advantage of reciprocity


While enjoying one of the lowest tuition rates ($3285. 30 + $746.88 fees for 2011-12) in the
country while at Brandon University, as a Manitoba resident take advantage of reciprocity
agreements between Manitoba and the University of Minnesota to pay tuition rates comparable
to the in-state Minnesota tuition rates ($13 022 for 2011-12) for your final two years of study.
These reciprocal agreements are also available to Minnesota residents.

How should I choose a major at BU?


In the dual degree program, as part of your 3 year B.Sc. you should complete the courses in the
accompanying table corresponding to your Engineering major of choice in addition to any
prerequisites these courses have. Choosing a major/minor combination including most of the
required technical courses is recommended. For example, students interested in Aerospace,
Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering might choose Physics/Math; Biomedical or
Bioproducts and Biosystems might choose Biology/Math; Chemical or Materials Science might
choose Chemistry/Math or Physics; Computer might choose Computer Science/Physics or Math;
and Geological Engineering students might choose to major in Geology/Math or Physics.
