Lesson Summary
(include student role,
issue, problem or
challenge, action taken,
and purpose/beneficiary)

In groups, students will create a How to video outlining how to give constructive feedback by showing
positive and negative examples. This video will be constructed after a short online inquiry into the tenants and
pertinent elements of constructive feedback and posted to their group BLOG. After which, groups using their
previously created Public Speaking Rubric from Lesson #8 will constructively evaluate and provide feedback for
the first draft/rehearsal presentations of their peers overarching projects (#1). Groups are to take this feedback
and apply in preparation for their final formal presentation (#1) to a senior political science class.

Driving Question

What does constructive feedback look like and how can I apply it to learning?

Entry Event

Students view Ron Bergers video: The Story of Austins Butterfly and in an online discussion connect the
elements from the video to the project process so far, responding to at least two of their peers.
