Piperazine Citrate

Piperazine is taken as substitute health care for ascariasis due to Ascaris


lumbricoides and enterobius due to pinworm. Piperazine citrate is a better choice
for treating these diseases/infections in children.
Physicians use piperazine in the treatment of limited intestinal impediment that is

weeks.
Piperazine citrate W.S.P dosage for pets: For dogs and cats 128.6 to 185.7 mg. Fr cattle
and sheep and poultry 91.4 mg is recommended.

Heavy dosages may cause emesis, head pressing, incoordination and diarrhea in
cats and dogs. Occasionally the pet may show symptoms like nausea, muscular
tremors or vomiting with overdose.
Piperazine citrate effectively treats ascarid and oxyurid worms, some hookworms
and roundworms.
