Institutional Arrangement
Social Protection and DRM are under the same
Ministry
Social Protection Working Committee and
Central Committee for DRM are established for
the policy directions
Key positions in both committee are taken by
the Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief
and Resettlement

Conceptual Integration of SP and DRM can be
found in NSPSP

NSPSP recognize the role of social protection in


DRM

Objective
To accomplish the process of early recovery

Strengthening Community Disaster

Disaster Resilience is being developed with the
support of ADB since last year
The process is widely consulted with all
stakeholders
Social Protection is planned to integrate into the
framework
Cash transfers and Public Employment Programs
like Cash for Work and Food for work are
designed.

Improving TVET Access, Quality, and
Management to Promote Employment and
Economic Modernization
Vocational Training

Centers: There are 55 numbers of Vocational


Training Centers under the Department of
Technical & Vocational Education, Ministry of
Education in nationwide.
Training: There are over 20 numbers of
occupational courses.
Other Vocational Training with DP (ADB):
Competency Based Modular Short CoursesCBMSCs
- There are 3 numbers of Vocational Training
center and there will be increase training
centers and occupational courses and assessment
in the future.

Singapore-Myanmar Vocational Training Institute

Funded by:

Help Age International-Myanmar in


collaboration with LIFT
OPSHG in 118 villages since 2009

Pilot program for Social Pension and MCCT in


2 township, 2015
Pilot program for Social Pension, MCCT and
Disability allowance in 180 villages of 6
townships in dry zone, 2016
