On the date of 031111 at the approximate time of 0757 hours, I was

dispatched to 11595 Northgate Way, reference a missing person call.
Upon my arrival, I identified the complainant as Mr. WALTER HAZELWOOD.
Mr. HAZELWOOD is the grandfather and legal guardian for the missing
person. The missing person is a juvenile.
The juvenile, was last seen in the residence on the date of 031111
between 0500 and 0715 hours.
The juvenile did leave a note
stating that he was going to see if he could survive for a couple days
in the woods.
The juvenile did not take any credit cards, ATM card or cell phone.
The juvenile did leave with eighty dollars in cash. The juvenile did
not take his backpack gear or camping gear. The juvenile is suspected
of taking a Sig Sauer 9 mm handgun that belongs to Mr. HAZELWOOD.
I did turn over a picture of the juvenile over to Det. Ruff. The
missing juvenile was entered into GCIC and NCIC Nic #W799374547.

On March 11, 2011 all evening watch Detectives and Sergeant S.

Browning responded to 11595 Northgate Way to assist in the search of a
missing teenager. Sgt. Browning requested the dispatcher to have the
tracking dogs en-route that were on hold. Sgt. Browning spoke to the
child`s grandfather and legal guardian WALTER HAZELWOOD. MR. HAZELWOOD

Roswell Police Department
explained that he had just received a telephone call from the
teenager. The teenager said he was with his mother in Woodstock at her
home. He agreed to come back to his home in Roswell. Sgt. Browning
called the mother and spoke to her to verify they were en-route to
Roswell. She said yes they should arrive in about 30 minutes. All
detectives returned to service and the tracking dogs were cancelled.
The missing teenager was removed from GCIC.
