Anti-Thinking versus Creative Thinking

Anti-thinking refers to the emotion-stimulated process, absent factual evidence, fear

animated thinking by which one preserves a false self-serving view of the world. The
result is a contrived and persistent fabrication of “cause and effect” results, based on a
lack of evidence to substantiate viability. Neither scientific validity, nor evidentiary
sufficiency supports the contentions asserted by the individual.
In addition, it is a very human expression whereby a person remains fixated on
emotionally mundane and seemingly stupid contrivances. Such a perspective is a selfish
and intentional effort to avoid responsibility and accountability for eventual behaviors.
Excuses, alibis and cleverly cunning mitigations project blame elsewhere, and perpetrate
fiction over fact as part of “conspiratorial victimization” continuum.
Willful purposes contrive to promote deception, sleight of hand, and assorted antics
of “magical” thinking that result in devious actions. Deceptive behaviors permeate ever
level of modern society. No field of endeavor or institution is free of the superficiality
intentionally instigated to manipulate, manage or control others. From academia to news
media, the shallow pontifications reflect a devolving culture.
Anti-thinking, or stupid assertions, culminate in postures and behaviors, including
public policy and commercial collaborations, which favor immature expediency over
wiser more mature deliberations. By “believing” in an insufficiency of nebulous notions,
and specious conjurations, people avoid the diligence of rigorous applications of
profound critical thinking. In the end, emotionalism trumps reality.
Such is the triviality of translating perceptions, based on little or no evidence, into
real-life applications of ultimate “truth”. Many examples are commonplace in day-to-day
encounters across the diverse “edutainment” social spectrum. They range in expression
from acts of juvenile acts of immaturity to potentially disastrous public policy.
Sometimes, these foolhardy expressions result in death and destruction. Society is neither
enhanced nor advanced by the foolhardiness of its citizenry, politicians, information
systems, as well as any other aspects, where intellectual ascendency is not a priority.
Silliness becomes rewarded and analytic inquires avoided.

A species that does not ascend, given the timeframe over which transformation out to
take place instigates its eventual demise. Seemingly, a role reversal has interceded, where
pseudoscience appears more plausible than the provability driven by scientific reality.
Anti-thinking opposes critical thinking, deconstructs rational verification and devalues
the efficacy of logical applicability. The presence of these behavioral absurdities from
unreasoned perspectives of hasty generalizations, and selfishly contrived subjective
validation, contributes to a scheme of cultural debasement.
Additionally, Anti-thinking includes the individual, as well as groups, who fail to self-
educate, skeptically inquire, maturely differentiate, and discipline thinking to evolve to
higher levels. Liberation in mature differentiation goes extraordinarily beyond the static
existence of a less than optimum performance. Instead of transforming into a healthier
and enlightened version of the original self, many choose to remain stagnant and
counterproductive. Human folly knows no boundaries.
As a person resists efforts to self-evolve, productively change, and distinguish oneself
toward a more freethinking human being, he or she aids the regression of humankind.
Critical analysis in exceptional problem-solving efforts is often replaced by “feel good”
reactivity and trouble-free simplicity. With such triteness and unproven evidentiary
substantiation, over a century of persistence, spurious viewpoints have been widely
embraced, in spite of questionable societal applicability.
As result, without question, assertions of opinion have become believed as “fact”,
while philosophies have cleverly become supposed as “sciences”. Anti-thinking is a
more empathetic expression for the foolhardiness of arrogance, contrived by faulty
conjecture in emotionally charged communicative retribution. Immature, unevolved and
self-centered thinking perspectives, from fantasy to fruition, hasten the regression of any
pretense to an evolved species. Thinking ought to be strenuous transformation.
The capacity to analyze, discern and ensure a high degree of thoughtful synthesis,
resulting in progressive actions, appears to evidence a state of deterioration. It is difficult
to ascribe current conditions as an ascended enlightened society, based on every day
antics of the population. The wisdom of transformative learning, stimulated by critical
inquiry and experience translated into meaningful activities, are by no means widespread.
A broad range of the populace prefers to react rather than respond reasonably.

Stupidity, which could also be called lazy thinking, claims the wistfulness of naïve
pretentions, and respects no boundaries of socio-economic status. In an apparently well-
educated and socio-economically success oriented society, one expects membership to
ascend to great heights of civilized interactivity. However, such an expectation could be
assessed as being too optimistic. Advertising, “reality shows”, election season and
holiday shopping are but a few examples of less than wise behaviors.
Given a variety to communal interactions, politicians, pundits and pastoral
pontificators of varied ideological mysticisms, devolve instantly to enemies of reason,
logic and skeptical analysis for the sake of their agendas. Many practice the woeful
ignorance of a diversity of factors essential to the survivability of human civilization.
Fighting un-heroically against the ravages of intelligent interpretive perceptions, many
protect their counterproductive postulations to an unusual extent.
For the salaciousness of their self-indulgence, many will inflict all manner of invective
upon others, to safeguard the illusion that “hope springs eternal” from the basis of
magical thinking. Fiction, for many people, is the preferred cognitive bias of a self-
aggrandizing reality. Whether anti-thinking or stupidity, which ever you choose, it is the
mirrored projective dysfunctional reactivity, for an unwillingness to think profoundly at
deeper introspective levels. We want things our way regardless of the certainty.
Additionally, anti-thinking flirts with conceited charades to be found “correct” at all
costs, as opposed to being discovered erroneous. A basic rule one must ask in three parts,
what do you mean, how do you know, and what if you are wrong? When a person admits
to his or her error that could mean a belief might necessarily invite alteration. Such can
be scary, even threatening and damaging. Extreme ideological doctrines for instance,
absent evidentiary proofs, frequently express avoidance in counterproductive social
destructiveness. Their prejudicial thoughts and acts become dangerous.
Liability for one’s thoughts, translated into action, finds excuses whenever possible to
avoid the maturity of evolved responsibility. Anti-thinking is a debasing form of
escapism that degrades society. Nonetheless, most people will not expend the effort to
change. Instead, every day deceptions of myriad irrational conjecture are made to sound
intelligent. Pseudoscientific verbiage for unscientific speculation is a frequent example.
Meaningless words with rhetorical hyperbole stifle productive communication.

By rude interruptions, callous invasion of personal space and urgency for immediate
gratification, subjective validation claims falsehood as fact. You have to wonder
sometimes, with the zealousness by which stupidity mitigates anything in order to avoid
accountability, how the clowns took over the circus. Easy conjecture, poorly constructed
from emotional persistence, in lieu of well-founded fact driven inquiry, purports the
solvability of complex social issues. You could take any of the alleged “social and
behavioral sciences” fields of study and find all manner of opinion made fact.
Complaints, arguments and accusations go back and forth, and based on philosophical
speculation, or otherwise known as opinion, one can quickly fabricate anything. Failing
to achieve corrective or remedial solutions to foolish thinking processes, hastens the
demise of the human species. But for the valiant few, a very limited number, who have
strived to self-evolve, the creative ones, the innovators, the leaders, not much has
changed. Among all the rest, the majority, human nature has not evolved.
Nevertheless, some would pontificate the grand and glorious achievements of the
human race over the past two hundred millennia. And, good for them, because those who
need the simplicity of cognitive bias, such hopefulness safeguards illusions. Ancient
doctrines for instance, canonized from myth to the scared, have been successful at such
things. Likewise, their crusades have effectively instigated wars, famines, poverty and
slavery. As such, the evidence favors destructive maladaptive thinking.
Often social discourse is masked by both physical and verbal gestures. Raising the
volume of one’s speech, rate of invective, interrupting opposing perspective, getting
angry, using clever words and phrases, and reducing dialogue to personal debasement.
Based on grossly immature fallacies of inference, the trouble free leap to hasty
generalizations all too frequently avoids serious analytic investigation.
A person can whine, blame, point fingers, yell and make obscene gestures, and
complain all day. Yet, that is not part of a problem solving process. Change, ascendant
transformation, and mature growth as a consciously rational life form, is hard work on
many levels of existence. Regardless, there are many who are gluttonous maladaptive
dissidents that manage to snivel their way through life. In spite of the diligence of the
few, most do not want to change beyond their prior adolescent level. They are a burden
on any attempt to evolve a more advanced societal consensus.

As some contemporary analysts from various scientific and social disciplines

speculate, the future of the human species is not unlimited. More likely, there is the
serious threat to human existence on the planet with extinction a very real probability. At
the end of the day, one might consider that unless corrective action is implemented in
extraordinarily constructive and realistic ways, such regressive behaviors will result in
global disaster. The folly of anti-thinking diminishes any hope of a more ascended and
civilized progressiveness. Greedy and gluttonous self-interests continue to foment and
fabricate all manner of deceptively selfish actions against others
Stupid thinking fosters collective concupiscence in the excessive degradation of
environmental resources, as well as abuses of other people. Yet, in various ways, many of
us manage to insulate our senses, assert denial, or mitigate distractions, in terms of
serious recognition as to ongoing social and cultural thinking deprivations. The
cowardice of self-indulgent fixations promotes bullying behaviors against genders, race
and ethnicities, as well as individual liberation and freedom.
Our hypocrisy knows only the limits of our imaginative inclinations to malevolence.
In the various complicities and contrived collusions, such nebulous notions have the
effect of a dire divisive obsessiveness, and belittle communal intelligence with self-
serving “political correctness”. Of which, dubious ideological dogma masquerades as
pretenses to truth, as belief systems wallow in elusive magical thinking.
Anxiously stressed over the indecisiveness of exerting much energy over nothing,
large numbers of people anguish over their mundane affinity for mediocrity. While
scientific credibility is called into question, as anti-thinking pundits make fun of rational
factuality, widespread superstitious gullibility permeates societal collective thinking. As a
result, decades old problems continue to haunt the debasing impotence of academic
discourse and governmental public policy. Foolishness reigns persistent.
At any given level of assertion, one might consider the relevance of skeptical inquiry,
but that is often shunned in favor of immediate gratification in mythic illusions. While
one generation blames the next, energies seldom fine tune seriousness of enlightened
corrective actions. Instead, inaction favors debilitating superficial belief systems. With a
majority of the public believing in the magic of unsubstantiated canonized doctrine, it is
little wonder the wisdom of change and transformation suffers.

Stupidly, the subservient acceptance of gluttonous consumption, preferring to feed

rather than read, proffers an unscientific cerebral engagement with the perpetration of
myth, magic and misguided metaphor. Horribly atrocious is perhaps the continual
debasement of any semblance of creativity, as evidenced by prime time television. It is as
though writers, producers and directors prefer adolescent content to more intellectually
challenging expressions of thought provoking innovations. In nearly every attempt at
serious discussion, to provoke a deeper resonance of cerebral intensity, some encounter
the backlash of anti-thinking made shallow by degrading emotionalism.
At the same time, there is the stagnant persistence of one excuse for clumsy communal
interactivity after another. Regardless of how severe the error, the defensive posture
typically degenerates to the baser level of selfish mitigation. As further complicity, all too
frequently, those few who work hard at changing themselves are challenged by the
salacious superstitious naiveté of those who regress. With a fixation for fiction over
factual validity, the superficiality of social interactions degrades efforts toward social
progress. One generation after anther allows the folly of self-indulgence.
Caution is warranted and skepticism appropriate, at every instance someone claims a
particular perspective. Bias precludes the formulation of any theory or opinion. However,
this does not mean the instigator avoids analytic endeavors to find the proof of the
contention. On the contrary, he, she, or they, use skilled capacities to rigorously
investigate all the probabilities involved. Reasonableness is essential to a foundation of
rational inquiry applied through applications of common sense. A personal viewpoint
must be proved beyond any level of doubt, and substantiated by the evidence.
Personal perspective is a significant force of self-interest behind any assertion. As
such, opinion attempts to persuade the conclusion of reality. We try as best we can, given
the depths of human nature, to offer a balanced point of view, a way of dealing with life
and death, and a deliberate quest to transform individual existence. Unfortunately, a
sizeable majority of the populace would rather remain on the well-traveled path of
simplicity. To pay critical attention, to focus on the communication processes, and to
evaluate the verbiage or the actions, demands serious intuitive energies of concentration.
Most would rather accept a poorly constructed projection of primal emotionalism, than
dwell in the deeper meanings of any pretense to significance.

A debate might articulate the acceptance an assertion for a “dumbing down”

acquiescence to foolhardy and untenable belief systems. Often the simplest line of
conjecture traverses to the least common denominator in order to ensure assertion
becomes reality. That is to say, many of us want our theory to influence the outcome of
what we want to believe, regardless of evidence to the contrary. The instant “selfie” of
immediate gratification for being “correct” pacifies the primeval needs of the less
evolved person or group. Illusions loom loud in the noisy selfishness of personal satiation
for perceptions that seem validated by wishful thinking.
In convincing ourselves of what we want to believe is true, no matter proof to the
contrary, people exert significant energies, including rioting murderous behaviors, in
order to satisfy selfish needs. Humans are so good a deception that we fool ourselves in
the process. If whatever it is satiates our personal initiative for self-gratification, then we
will endeavor to use any means to achieve our objectives. Politically, socially, and
economically, people will exaggerate and exploit an opportunity for personal gain.
How do we know, what do we mean, and what if we are wrong? Those ought to be
three key question we ask ourselves at every option about issue encountered. At any
given moment, an act of observation, to the theory formation, and subsequent
interpretation, each process possesses a high probability of intentional subjective
validation. We alter what is observed by being involved in the observing.
Rigorous thinking strives to reinforce the consistent stubbornness to seek higher levels
of understanding, and thereby achieve wise and mature insight to challenging issues. In
conjunction with such personal authenticity and insistence upon comprehending the
reality of the situation, efforts are bound by the integrity of individual honesty. However,
to the contrary, anti-thinking often wears the masks of many cover stories.
Creative thinking, consistently challenged by self-improvement and mature growth,
with engagement with diverse information resources, invests the energy to ascend higher.
By deeper thought provoking exercises at every moment of the day, intelligently and
rationally challenging everything with healthy skepticism, and demanding proof by
evidentiary factuality are creative instigations to stimulate the intentional provocations
for transforming self-evolution. An infinite universe of possibilities marvels at the
unlimited expanse in the power of an innovative imagination.
