HELPFUL HINTS
1.

Before Starting the Installation :


A. Familiarize yourself with these Installation Instructions and the Security System Components.

Mating Connectors :
A. When disconnecting connectors, press the connector lock downward and pull connectors apart
( Figure A ).

B. When connecting mating connectors, push connectors together until locking mechanism are
firmly locked together ( Figure B ).

3.

Anti - Theft Radio :


A. If vehicle is equipped with an Anti - Theft Radio, the radio code must be written down prior to
disconnecting the battery cable. The code must be re - entered when the negative battery cable
is reinstalled.

A. Remove the negative battery cable before


installing Security System Components for
safety precautions ( Figure C ).

Female T - Tap Connectors :


A. When installing female T - Tap connectors, be sure the wire is located inside the wire channel
of the female T - Tap connector before closing connector over the wire with pliers ( Figure D ).

VEHICLE PREPARATION TUNDRA D-CAB


1. Panel Removal:
Refer to the vehicle repair manual, and remove the driver side kick panel. ( Optional, remove the driver's
lower dash panel for better access.)

INSTALLING THE SYSTEM


1. Mounting Keyless Entry Control Module :
Secure the Keyless Entry module in the Driver's Kick Panel Area as shown using the foam pad and long
cable ties provided.
NOTE: Module antenna wire must
extend up as high as possible and
secured in place for the best
signal reception.

2. Installing the Piezo Buzzer :


Remove (3) screws from Driver's Fender Liner behind the Fog Lights, to gain access to the piezo
mounting location. The vehicle is pre-wired from the factory with a Piezo Buzzer connector W5 located
near the driver's side turn signal and parking light.
Plug the Piezo Buzzer into connector W5. Wrap the Piezo with the foam tape provided, then secure to
the vehicle harness as shown.

BLACK WIRE [ Chassis Ground ]: Use blue T-Tap


and connect to the WHITE / BLACK STRIPE WIRE
in connector J37, location F.

Follow the wiring diagram and refer


to the connector details on page 6
for exact locations of the circuits.

WHITE / BLUE STRIPE WIRE [ Data ]: Use red TTap and connect to the RED / YELLOW STRIPE
WIRE in connector B11, location 9.

YELLOW WIRE [ +12 VDC Ignition ]: Use red TTap and connect to the BLACK / RED STRIPE
WIRE in connector IB5, location 9.

RED WIRE [ +12VDC Battery ]: Use red T-Tap and


connect to the WHITE / RED STRIPE WIRE in
connector IB5, location 1.

VEHICLE PREPARATION - BASE CAMRY


1. Remove the Lower Dash Panel :
Refer to the vehicle repair manual, and remove the lower dash panel to gain access to the Body ECU.

INSTALLING THE SYSTEM


1. Mounting Keyless Entry Control Module :
Secure the Keyless Entry module behind the driver's J/B to the dash crash bar as shown using the foam
pad and long cable ties provided.
NOTE: Module antenna wire must
extend up as high as possible and
secured in place for the best
signal reception.

2. Installing the Piezo Buzzer :


Gain access to the Keyless Buzzer connector K1, by reaching into the inner passenger fender area
behind the headlight assembly as shown.
Plug the Piezo Buzzer into connector K1. Wrap the Piezo with the foam tape provided, then secure to
the vehicle harness as shown.

(2005) Use red T-Tap and connect to the

BLACK WIRE [ Chassis Ground ]:


(2004) Use red T-Tap and connect to the
WHITE/BLACK wire in connector R5, Pin 3.

Follow the wiring diagram and refer


to the connector details on page 9 for
exact locations of the circuits.

WHITE / BLUE STRIPE WIRE [ Data ]: Use red TTap and connect to the BLUE/WHITE wire in
connector B7, Pin 8.

YELLOW WIRE [ +12 VDC Ignition ]: Use red TTap and connect to the RED/BLUE wire in
connector 2B, Pin 7.

RED WIRE [ +12VDC Battery ]: Use blue T-Tap and


connect to the BLUE/YELLOW wire in connector
2A, Pin 1.

COMPLETING THE INSTALLATION


1. Testing the System :
IMPORTANT ! Before beginning with the test procedure, be sure to completely open the
driver's window.
A. Press and release the lock button on one of the transmitters.
- All doors lock.
- Parking lights flash one time.
- One chirp
B. Press and release the unlock button on the transmitter.
- Driver's door unlocks.
- Parking lights flash two times.
- Two chirps
C. Press and release the lock button on one of the transmitters.
- All doors lock.
- Parking lights flash one time.
- One chirp
D. Press and release the unlock button on the transmitter 2 times within 3 seconds.
- All doors unlock.
- Parking lights flash two times.
- Two chirps
E. Press the Panic button on the transmitter.
- Horn sounds.
- Parking lights flash.
F. Press the Panic button again to silence the alarm.

IMPORTANT ! Be sure to repeat the test procedure using the second transmitter.

NOTE: When diagnosing a problem with the vehicle using the Toyota Scan Tool, a fault code of
B1242 may be indicated.
Without factory keyless entry or factory alarm the vehicle may automatically store a Fault code of:
B1242-Wireless door lock tuner circuit malfunction.
This fault code is generated because the body computer is looking for a wireless door lock control
receiver. This is omitted on vehicles without factory keyless entry or alarm installed. No repair is
required; the vehicle is operating normally and will not turn on the MIL light.

2. Re assemble the Vehicle :


After testing the system, be sure that all modules and harnessing is secured properly.
Next, refer to the vehicle repair manual and replace all panels that were removed for installation.
