Omraam Mikhal Avanhov
The work of transformation must not be limited to thoughts and feelings, but must
also influence the physical body, so that people can reach a state of total
transfiguration.
Jesus lived through such a transformation on Mount Thabor. Six days later, Jesus
took with him Peter and James and John, and let them up a high mountain apart, by
themselves. And he was transfigured before them, and his clothes became dazzling
white, such as no one on earth could bleach them. And there appeared to them Elijah
with Moses, who were talking with Jesus.Jesus revealed to his disciples how the
physical body could become luminous through the power of spirit, the power of love.
It was the greatest revelation he could make to those he had chosen. The presence
of Moses and Elijah was very significant at this especially solemn occasion. Moses
represented the Law, the Jewish tradition that Jesus had come to perfect and put into
practice.
Elijah was the person who had foretold the coming of the Messiah, who reincarnated
as John the Baptist to prepare for that advent.
