Following the birth of a child,
parents can take parental leave of
up to 18 weeks unpaid leave per
child up to the age of five years.
DEPENDANTS LEAVE
Almac understands the need
to support staff who need to
balance their caring and working
commitments. Therefore
all employees may request a
reasonable amount of time
off to deal with unexpected or
sudden emergencies involving
dependants and to make longerterm arrangements for their care.

HEALTH PROMOTIONS
Almac provides health promotions
and health education to enable
employees to make informed
choices. In addition to the regular
health promotions which are held
on site , the Northern Ireland Blood
Transfusion Service comes on site
three times per year and we have an
annual visit from the Action Cancer
Big Bus who provide educational
sessions on early detection of cancer
and cancer prevention.

ACE SCHEME
We recognise that the levels of
success, performance and quality

We therefore have in place a Global
Employee Recognition Programme
called ACE (Almac Celebrates
Excellence). This programme,
which is open to all, enables
employees to receive recognition
when they demonstrate
exceptional behaviours related

In addition at the end of September
every year each Business Unit
nominates an Ambassador who

The Almac eLearning Portal
System (ALPS) provides
employees with the opportunity
to avail of webcast-based live

they also have access to a vast
library of off-the-shelf, self-paced
eLearning courses which greatly
benefit the personal development
of each Almac individual.
