Influence policy and programmes by contributing to remits, submissions and
discussions on current gender equality topics

Stay informed
Receive our newsletter the Circular and our e-newsletter On Balance. Access the
latest gender equality research, hear expert speakers and keep up-to-date with our posts on
Facebook and Twitter.

Network and gain experience


Engage with members online and in person. Attend branch meetings and
conferences, join our online groups and have the opportunity to extend your leadership and
governance experience

Take action
Participate in campaigns and projects on a range of topics and contribute to gender
equality in New Zealand and across the globe

Types of membership
To become a member, all you need is an interest in making a difference for women. We are a diverse
organisation with a range of membership packages. Options include:

National membership

This is available to organisations that work nationwide with an interest in improving

the lives of women

Branch membership is available to

Individuals who live near one of our 21 branches

Organizations which work to make a difference for women in their community

Anyone unable to physically attend branch meetings. You can become corresponding
member to a branch of your choice and make the same contributions as individual members

Virtual branch membership


These branches represent communities of interest and conduct branch business

online (e.g. over email or Facebook)

How to join:
Find you local branch to become a member
If the branch nearest you is too far away of if you are interested in becoming a national member or
want to join/start a virtual branch, contact office@ncwnz.org.nz for further information
We encourage anyone wanting to join to read our constitution.
