INTRODUCTION
The name of the team practicing the given Project is CO-DECODERS. The four members for
the same are described.
The responsibility for the Team Leader role play is being played by Patel Mitesh. He will coordinate and manage the whole team along with the work/duty to be performed what all the
Team Members do.
Other members are designated the post of being a Team Member. A Team Member will work
hard for the uplifment of the Project and for his/her own Team. All the minor details that are
to be looked under this Project for eg, equipments, environment, end users, etc. is to be taken
care of in a proper manner.

DESIGN THINKING:
Design Thinking is a process which includes the "building up" of ideas, with few, or no,
limits on breadth during a "brainstorming" phase.
This helps reduce fear of failure in the participant(s) and encourages input and participation
from a wide variety of sources in the ideation phases. The phrase "thinking outside the box"
has been coined to describe one goal of the brainstorming phase and is encouraged, since this
can aid in the discovery of hidden elements and ambiguities in the situation and discovering
potentially faulty assumptions.
Design Thinking process has seven stages: define, research, ideate, prototype, choose,
implement, and learn.

PROCESS/JOURNEY:
There are a number of accidents occurring nowadays. Now, there are cases when the victims
of the accidents do not get the required treatment instantly due to reasons like people present
during the incident do not help or do not want to involve in such matters (it may happen that
Police department get involved for big and harsh accidents generally).
Such kind of delay in time of ambulance reaching there may lead to serious health problems
of the passengers/victims of the accident. The harm experienced if not timely treated then
it may cause loosing of one precious life which is not acceptable as far as it is avoidable.

Such unavoidable circumstances encouraged us to think something which can help to solve
this problem. So, we came up with this idea of Accident Detection System which will help
the injured victims to interact with the medical treatment centres and his/her family
automatically.

EMPATHY MAPPING

Areas of Interest:
Accidents, Treatment of victims, Location Panel, Networking concept

Observations:
Injuries or death due to accident
Unawareness about the availability of the nearest medical treatment
Unavailability of proper treatment on time
Unwillingness of people to help the victims due to fear of getting involved in the police
enquiry
Objects involved: GSM, GPS, Vehicles, Sensors
Present roles and Responsibilities: Vehicle Users and Hospital

THE AEIOU OBSERVATION:

We have applied the AEIOU analysis technique for observing the area of our interest.
The detailed observations we have collected are as follows:
A (ACTIVITIES):
It has been observed that on the daily basis there are tons of accidents take place all over the
world. Due to the temptation of driving fast sometimes seems to lead people to fatal
accidents. But the more serious issue is that most of the loss of life that occurs in such
accidents has its cause in the less sensitivity of the passing by people towards the victims or
the unnoticeable spot of accident which cause enough delay in reaching of medical aid to turn
the accident into a fatal one, which could have been avoided if the medical aid was given on
time. Besides this there is also an issue regarding contacting the family of the victim
sometimes.

E (ENVIRONMENT):
The environment which has been taken under consideration for our area of interest contains
mainly an accident spot. Today in spite of the modernisation of the society there are still some
remote parts all around the world which are lacking fine multiple lane highways turning out
to be accident prone zones. In this type of environment usually people are unaware of the
smaller details of their surroundings like the nearby medical aid centres which cause trouble
in case of accident. So the nearby medical centres are also got included in the environment of
our interest.

I (INTERACTIONS):
In the above explained environment interactions take place among multiple vehicles, a
vehicle and the surrounding objects (living/non-living), the driver of a vehicle and other
vehicle drivers. Out of multiple interactions which occurs in the real time, if there happen to
be one like a fatal accident then it adds some more interactions in our environment. Like after
an accident the interactions among passing by people and the victim, passing by people and
the nearby medical centre, the medical aid provider and the victim or victim and his/her
family get more important. In the system we are designing here as a solution will be having
interactions between one triggering mechanism and a micro controller, device and the global
positioning system (GPS), and device and the other counterpart available at the medical hep
centres as well as with the family of the victim.

O (OBJECTS):
From the above observations the objects involved in the environment which we are studying
would be vehicles, living and non-living objects in the surroundings, medical centre. The
objects we are using for our system includes a kind of sensor, a global positioning system
(GPS) module and one global system for mobile communication (GSM).

U (USER):

In the area of our interest from the all above observations we are basically targeting the users
of vehicles who can be turned out to be a victim of an accident. Also the medical aid provider
will also be other user of the system.

THE MIND MAPPING TECHNIQUE:

We have gone through the step by step thinking process to develop the exact area of our
interest. First of all we observed the activities going on in the area of our interest. We mapped
some of the activities we are concerned about. After going through the activities we were able
to exactly define the environment where all the activities are taking place. We then
considered the objects involved in the activities and thus observed interactions taking place in
the environment among objects. At last we narrowed the target users for our system and
finally gave a shape to the basic idea through the web of the mind map which we are going to
work on. The main group of users we are targeting through our project are the users of
vehicle. Further the medical aid providers and relatives of the user can be considered as
further sub groups.

AEIOU SUMMERY:
After observing the area of our interest using AEIOU analysis technique its summarised that
in the daily practice out of tons of accidents which take place all around the world a number
of deaths can be avoided if the medical aid can reach in time to the victim. Its observed that
in most of the cases the unwillingness of the passing by people or the unnoticeable spot of th
accident turns fatal for the victim.

USERS AND STAKEHOLDERS:

As shown in the empathy mapping canvas we are basically targeting the vehicle users. So our
end users will be all the vehicle drivers, and may be the medical aid providers and users
relatives. The stakeholders who will affect the project outcome are the automobile
companies, GPS providers, GSM providers.
