Logontoyourcomputerwithanadministratoraccount
Closeallotherapplications
Closeapplicationsrunninginthebackground.Someofthemostcommonapplications
runninginthebackgroundthatareknowntointerfereareantivirussoftware,the
IntelliMouseapplication,andaudioplayers.Mostoftheseapplicationsappearinthe
SystemTrayontheDesktop.TocloseanapplicationthatappearsintheSystemTray,right
clickontheapplicationiconandlookforoptionstocloseordisabletheapplication

Iftheupgradefails:
Iftheupgradeisunsuccessful,sometimestheinstrumentisunabletostartproperly.Inthis
situationthedisplaywillnotswitchon,andonlyabeepindicatesthattheinstrumentison.
Turnonyourinstrumentwhileholdingthecursorupandcursorrightkeysandlistenforthesoft
beep.Nowrestarttheupgradeprocess.TheFlashToolwillrecognizethattheprevious
installationfailed,andrecovertheinstrumentdataautomatically.Releasethecursorkeysonce
theupgradeprocesshasstarted.
Inotherraresituationstheinstrumentwillturnononlybrieflyandshutdownautomatically.If
thisisthecase,removingthepowercordandbatteryfor5to10minutesresolvestheissueasit
clearstheRAMmemoryoftheinstrument.
