The butterfly effect is a concept of chaos theory
Firstly
Chaos theory is branch of exact science. Exact science is about unpredictable behavior
in dynamic systems.
Dynamic system has a clasification system: stable, unstable and chaos. Stable is
when you know what it will happen. Unstable is when you wont know what it will
happen. Chaos has both, you can know their equalitions and initial fixed
conditions nevertheless the least variation makes a radical evolution.
Secondly
Edward Lorenz a mathematical and meteorologist American. He was the person who
introduce strange attractors concept and he called this phenomenon butterfly effect.
The reason was because Mr. Lorenz registry on the computer some values to analyze for
him, an easy simulation of climate to next days. He left the computer working and he
went to drink coffee. When he came back, he realized something strange had
happened.
The computer had calculated and expected the atmospheric time not to two days, but
yes to two months, and not only that, also the computer pretend previous days to those
who he put on the computer, in conclusion, the computer pretended the future and the
past.
Mr. Lorenz explained if you put some initial conditions of a determinate system the least
variation in these can cause progress the complete system for himself towards forms
completely different.
The name comes from an old Chinese proverb the flapping of a butterflys
wings can be felt across the world or the flapping butterflys wings in Hong
Kong can cause a tsunami in Unite States
Returning to chaos theory a way based on real circumstances. The chaos theory
suggests that certain phenomena that make a situation go wrong, increase its effects
and consequences starting of small alterations in the actions they will make the result
final becomes divergent.
An example will be:
Situation 1:
You are walking in the street and you pass by stand of a salesperson, you stop to buy a
bottle of water. you pay for the bottle of water and when you're going to receive the
bottle, bottle slides from your hand but you can reach the bottle before the bottle fall
down.

Situation 2:
In this case pass the same to before but you can't reach the bottle of water and this fall
down over pants of a man. This man is angry with you and he insult you, he don't sees
both sides of the street and a car almost hit him. But a bus previous of this who was
tailgating from this car can't stop already and crash into the car. The bus bounces for
cause of the crash and hit three boys who are walking behind to the bus
