Abstract
In this practice was sought to know how transits a fluid in a pipe portion and the effects that
occur within it and how they affect the changes of direction and geometry of the flow container,
to the concentrations of pressure and speed internal flow sections. For this simulation an
advanced software tool was used as it is WORKBENCH-ANSYS, where CFX it's an utility,
which allow us make a dynamic flow simulation for a mass flow of water with entry and
defined viscous flow conditions. For this exercise we could apply various display filters that
allowed observation and subsequent analysis of properties such as pressure and velocity field,
being that, in conclusion, the knowledge that pressure changes occur in the sections of the pipes
was obtained where direction changes are made, that is, external and internal piping elbows in
sections. While in internal sections of the pipeline the pressure drops, in the outer sections of the
same pipeline, the pressure has increased, this is necessary to produce balance in the cross
section of the fluid through the pipe.
