MONTAJE EN HORIZONTAL
Todas las gamas de bombas Mono, excluyendo la
gama P, se instalan normalmente en posicin
horizontal, sobre fundaciones planas de hormign y
ancladas mediante pernos. De esta forma se
consigue una fijacin firme y se reduce el ruido y la
vibracin.
Debe comprobarse la unidad despus de fijada, para
cerciorarse de que la bomba est bien alineada con
el motor.

DISEO DE LA INSTALACION
A la hora de disear la instalacin debe tenerse en
cuenta la posicin de los tapones de llenado y es
necesario colocar vlvulas de retencin y/o vlvulas
de corte.
GENERALIDADES
Cuando se procesan materiales nocivos o
desagradables, debe proveerse una buena
ventilacin para dispersar las concentraciones
peligrosas de gases. En lo posible, se recomienda
instalar las bombas Monoflocon un alumbrado
adecuado, para que pueda efectuarse un
mantenimiento eficaz en unas condiciones
satisfactorias. Para ciertos materiales procesados,
un punto de lavado con manguera y desage
adecuado simplificar el mantenimiento y prolongar
la vida til de los componentes de la bomba.
MANIPULACION
M ONTAJE EN VERTICAL
Las bombas de la gama P son para su instalacin en
posicin vertical. Hay que tener cuidado al izarla,
procurndo que se mantenga en posicin vertical.
Normalmente, las bombas de la gama P se disean
con una placa base para su sujecin en el armazn
de la instalacin.
Si se piensa montar la bomba de otra manera, debe
obtenerse de Monoflo la conformidad a
la instalacin. Las tuberas deben soportarse
independientemente de la bomba.

ASPECTOS ELECTRICOS
Si al arrancar parece no funcionar correctamente la
bomba, debe detenerse inmediatamente la planta y
localizar el fallo antes de reanudar las operaciones.
Dependiendo del tipo de planta, se recomienda
instalar un vacumetro o manmetro/vacumetro
combinado en la lumbrera de admisin de la bomba,
y un manmetro en la lumbrera de salida, para
supervisar continuamente las condiciones de
funcionamiento de la bomba.

CONDICIONES DE SERVICIO
PROCEDIMIENTO DE ARRANQUE
La bomba debe llenarse con lquido antes de
arrancar. El llenado inicial no es para cebar la
bomba, sino para proveer la lubricacin necesaria del
estador hasta que la bomba se cebe por s misma.
Al detener la bomba, quedar normalmente suficiente
lquido atrapado en el rotor/estator para lubricarlo al
volver a arrancar. Pero si se deja parada la bomba
mucho tiempo, se traslada a otro sitio o ha sido
desarmada, debe volver a llenarse con lquido y
girarla unas pocas vueltas antes de arrancar. Debido
al ajuste apretado del rotor/estator, la bomba es dura
de girar a mano, pero desaparece esta rigidez
cuando la bomba est funcionando normalmente
contra la presin.

PROTECCIONES
Por razones de seguridad y en cumplimiento con la
Ley de Sanidad y Seguridad en el Trabajo de 1974
(Gran Bretaa), deben volver a colocarse todas las
protecciones despus de efectuar los ajustes
necesarios en la bomba.

LUBRICACION
Las bombas dotadas de cojinetes deben
inspeccionarse con regularidad para ver si requiere
aadirse grasa, en cuyo caso debe aadirse grasa
hasta llenar a un tercio las cmaras en los extremos
del espaciador del cojinete.
Se requiere inspeccionar peridicamente los
cojinetes para que rindan ptimamente. El momento
ms conveniente para esto es durante las paradas
programadas del equipo (para el mantenimiento
rutinario o por otras razones).
En los trpicos o en otras condiciones de trabajo
severas, se requiere efectuar esta inspeccin con
mayor frecuencia. Por tanto, se aconseja preparar un
programa adecuado de mantenimiento e
inspecciones.

BOMBAS DE TOLVA
Ciertas bombas podrn estar dotadas de un
mecanismo de sinfn, con o sin rompebvedas, para
alimentar al elemento de bombeo. Si se requiere que
estas partes no vayan cerradas hay que cuidar de
que el personal no pueda obtener acceso con la
bomba en marcha. Si esto no fuera posible, debe
instalarse en las proximidades un dispositivo de
parada de emergencia.
