QMReporttogettheVendorname,andDCnumberforinspectionlotsbyQuery:

Introduction:

CurrentQMreportsinSAPwillprovideinformationwithvendorcodeforinspectionlotsinQA32/QA33transaction.
ButthefieldsavailableinthesetransactionswillnotsufficeasthemissingfieldsofvendornameandDCnumber.And
manytimesweneedtodevelopthesereportsinQMbasedondifferentrequirements,andmostofthemcanbe
achievedbythismethod.

Agendaofsharingthisisto,helpfunctionalconsultanttocreateQueryandtransactiononhisownandavoid
dependencyonABAP.Thisisanattempttohelppeoplewhoarenotawareofthisorneedsclarityinthesteps.Ifyou
feelthisishelpfulyoucanratethedocument.Thankyou.

Scenarioisassaidbelow.

Scenario:

FortheboughtoutpartsandpartscomingfromvendorareinwardedwithpurchasedocumentsalongwithDCnumber.
Andatthesametimetheinformationcardisprintedforthesepartsandthesheetisattachedtotherespectivestorage
bin.

QCcheckcantakesplacebasedonthepriorityandcantakeminimum3to4daystovisittheparticularlot.Andatthis
pointoftime,QCwantstoidentifyandcorrelatethepartswithinspectionlot.AndforthisQCneedsareportwhich
includesQualityinspectionlotnumber,lotquantity,materialdocument,vendorcode,vendorname,andDCnumber.

SuchkindofreportnotavailableinstandardSAPandthiscanbeeasilyachievedwithSAPABAPQueryanda
transactioncodecanbecreatedtoservethepurposebythefunctionalconsultant.

ItisnotrecommendedtocreateTcodeonthegeneratedprogramnameE.g.:
AQZZQM_VEN_RPT==ZQMVEND========).ThisisbecauseiftheInfosetQueryundergoesanychanges,thenat
leastoncetheInfosetqueryshouldbeexecutedthroughSQ01transactioninproduction(GenerateQuery),otherwise
thetransactioncodewillstillpointtotheoldgeneratedprogram.
Solution:Toavoidaboveproblemforchanginginfoset,wecanadoptbelowmethod.
TransactioncodewillbeautomaticallycreatedbysystemthroughAreaMenu(SE43).Thissystemgenerated
transactioncodepointstoInfosetquery(standardarea/globalarea)andnotthegeneratedprogram.
