WRITING INDEPENDIENT PART

FIRST ESSAY:
1. In my opinion, it depends of each person. For example my parents do not like
travel without a tour guide because they want to know the whole place and
they do not leave the place until they have seen everything about it. But in my
case I enjoy travel with my friends and without a tour guide because before we
travel, we transform ourselves into our own guides, we read a lot of the place
that we are going to visit so we can know more about it. And the real
experience begins with my friends plus a wonderful place plus the real struggle
of being disorientated in a new place that we do not know anything except
stories and legends.
And that is what had made my travels memorable because you are never going
to forget those days of playing at the tourist and tasting all the different
flavors, all the magic views, all type of sensations that the new place provides
you. Of course sometimes the tour guide is needed like when you jump into a
jungle or the Uyuni Salar because if you go into these in places without a guide
it is like you jump into vortex that you are never going to go back alive
*exaggeration*
The main point of this essay is that I prefer to travel without a tourist guide,
because the worst mistake of a tourist is to visit only the touristic places,
because every single city, every single place is more than. For example La Paz
it is more than Copacabana Lake or Moon Valley.
There are a lot of places that you can go and those are not so touristic.
SECOND ESSAY:
2. I think that Universities that require their students to specialize in one
subject are better, because that way students can take the advantage to focus
in one thing at time, also this method of learning gives the students time to do
extra activities.
For example UPB use that method, because their students can take one or
three subjects at time, of course there are subjects that need more time like
taking Statistics in three weeks it is heavy because there are a lot of formulas
and a lot of type of exercises that some people cannot manage.
Even though I work better if I am in pressure of time. I like to focus in two
subjects at once, but six subjects, never mind, I will become lazy with that like I
know myself and I know that I would leave all the subjects to learn them to
days before the final exam. Being focused at one subject gives you time to do
the homework to read and you can also do extra activities like go to the gym or
do volunteer activities.

RE-WRITE:
1. When I travel, I always prefer to go with a group led by a tour guide.
The tour guide makes all the necessary arrangements for the trip, he
knows the best places to visit also he is familiar with the local
language and customs. When I travel with a tour guide, the only thing
I have to do is relax and enjoy myself.
If I travel in a group with a tour guide, I dont have to worry about
arranging the trip. I just look for a group that is going to a place I like,
and I let the tour guide take care of the rest. He also makes the hotel
reservations and chooses the restaurants and plans the activities for
each day. I dont have to worry about anything because the guide
does everything for me.
With the tour guide, I dont have to figure out which places to visit.
The tour guide knows where the good beaches are and which stores
have the best prices. If I had to figure this out myself, I might make
the wrong choices, therefore, I am sure of having the best possible
experience on my trip.
Traveling with a tour guide, I dont have to know the local language
and customs. He knows the local holydays are, or how to dress
appropriately for each situation. I dont have to worry about
confusions with the language or customs because the tour guide can
help me.
When I go on vacation, I want to relax. I dont want to worry about
making hotel reservations, or learning museum schedules, or
speaking the local language. A tour guide can take of all these things
for me, and I can have a good time.
2. Universities offer opportunities to study many subjects and university
students should take advantage of this. Studying many subjects can
help students better prepare for their careers. It can also help them
to become responsible members of society and can add to their
personal enjoyment, as well.
Studying many subjects can help students be better prepared for
their careers. A doctor doesnt need to know only about medicine, for
example. She also needs to know how to respond to patients
emotional needs. She might know about accounting and legal
contracts so she run her own office. Each profession requires certain
specialized skills, but all professionals also need other, more general
skills in order to do their jobs well.
In addition students become more responsible members of society.
They need to understand the economic and social issues of their
communities so that they can vote responsibly. They might want to
do volunteer work at a community organization. They will need to be
able to educate their children, no matter what their childrens
abilities and interest are. They will need to know about more than just
their profession in order to do these things. Also can add a great deal
of enjoyment to a students life. If students understand art and

music, they will get a lot of enjoyment from museums and concerts. If
they study literature, they will continue to read good books. Life is
about more than just a career. If students know about a lot of
subjects, they will get a lot out of life.
Some university students think only about their careers. If the choice
is left to them, they might only study courses for their future
profession. They will have much better future, however, if they study
subjects in addition to their career. Therefore, universities should
require students to take classes in many subjects.
HOMEWORK.
1. The difference between the two essays.
The difference about the two essays was the point of view. In my essay I
remark that traveling with a tour guide is not always vital. The perception that I
had of traveling without a tour guide is that it is more fun and you can learn
more about the place that you are visiting, because you obligated have to learn
the local language, costumes and know where are the restaurants, museums,
parks that you want to visit. Having a tour guide can minimize your stress, and
you can also be relaxed. Because starring at making hotel reservations and
ending of buying the leaving ticket plane the tour guide covers all. So you dont
have to worry. But if you are still hungry of adventures I may recommend travel
without a tour guide, you will get a lot more of experiences, an even more
stories to tell at your return. For example, two years ago, me and my friends
traveled to Copacabana and not Copacabana-Bolivia I am referring to
Copacabana-Brazil1, any of us didnt know Portuguese so we had to be
creatives with our gestures so people can understand us, we went to parties
and also we went to touristic places in Copacabana. Any of us regretted that
trip at all, we always are going to remember the time that we were just five
funny teenagers with just a backpack and a couple of Reales, running around
the majesty of the city that had gave us such a memorable experiences.

variety of subjects for the career is also good that students can diversify they

all careers starting on Communication, Business administration and all kinds of
engineering studies, have to take those subjects obligated: Psychology,

Business Management, English and Accounting. So this way all the students
know the basics subjects to start their own business.
Psychology helps to know how people behave and to prevent how they will
react to different kinds of stimulations, thats important to all the professions
because they all have to work with people and knowing about psychology make
them more approachable to have a satisfying co-worker relation. Business
management helps to create business plan, also it helps all to define the
objectives of the company and to create strategies to reach the objectives.
Accounting its essential to all, even though they are not going to realize all the
accounting work of the company, as a boss or chief officer you have to
supervise the General Balance, Result Statement and control the taxes,
because your subordinate could made something wrong and if you dont know
about how to do the accounting, your business will lose a lot of money. And
finally English is important for everyone, because the students world cannot
be just Bolivia, they have to expand their business, make the company
international, and the only way that you are going to reach high in this
globalized world is to know the English.
