ZERO NET BUILDING

What is zero net building?

Building that using the renewable energy such as solar panel, wind and etc to produce as much energy as
can to generate the energy for the building itself to consume.

Why zero net building?

A goal path to achieve the green building .

To reduce the pollution as the residential and commercial are known to contribute the green house gas

emissions. As well as slowing the progress of harmful climatic change around the world.
To reconcile the built environment with the natural environment, create a greater biodiversity .

How to achieve zero net building?

Key is achieving as low energy consumption as can to the building.

Generate energy on site.
Using net zero energy building certificate as the guideline. ( Living Building Challenge 3.1 ), need at least 12
consecutive months in order to further evaluation.

Energy Efficiency Thermal Windows (Energy Saving Verified)

What it is ?
One of the components to achieve a net zero building.
How it is work?

Double-glazed windows have two sheets of glass with a gap in between, usually about 16mm, to create an
insulating barrier that keeps heat in. This is sometimes filled with gas. Triple-glazed windows have three
sheets of glass, but arent always better than double-glazed windows. To choose the most energy-efficient
window look for the BFRC rating.
Energy-efficient windows come in a range of frame materials and styles. Performance criteria vary according
to the following:

How well they stop heat from passing through the window.

How much sunlight travels through the glass.

How little air can leak in or out around the window.
