Definition of research: Research in the physical sciences tradition, research in the humanities tradition,
design research. Qualities of scientific research. History of design research. Ways of approaching research:
Quantitative research designs, qualitative research designs, comparison of the qualitative and quantitative
research methods. Nature of quantitative research, research types and topics. Quantitative research design,
data collection and data analysis. Research problem formulation techniques. Using library sources and
literature search. Nature of qualitative research, data collection methods. Observation as a research method.
Research Interviewing. Case study research. Analyzing qualitative data. Grounded Theory.

Lisans dzeyi yeterliliklerine dayal olarak endstri rnleri tasarm alannda aratrma yntemlerini kullanarak bilgilerini
uzmanlk dzeyinde gelitirebilme ve derinletirebilme (Bilgi i). Tasarm alan ile ilgili karlalan sorunlar aratrma
yntemlerini kullanarak zmleyebilme (Beceri v). Alannda edindii uzmanlk dzeyindeki kuramsal ve uygulamal
bilgileri kullanabilme, kendi lisans alanndaki bilgi ve becerilerini endstri rnleri tasarm aratrma konular balamnda
kullanabilme(Beceri iii).
Endstri rnleri tasarm alannn ilikili olduu disiplinler aras etkileimi kavrayabilme (Bilgi ii). Tasarm alannda
edindii bilgileri farkl disiplin alanlarndan gelen bilgilerle birlikte kullanarak yorumlayabilme ve yeni bilgiler
oluturabilme (Beceri iv). Tasarm alannda zmsedikleri bilgiyi, problem zme ve/veya uygulama becerilerini,
disiplinleraras almalarda kullanabilme (Alana zg Yetkinlik xvi).
Endstri rnleri tasarm alanyla ilgili uzmanlk gerektiren bir almay bamsz olarak yrtebilme (Bamsz
alabilme ve Sorumluluk Alabilme Yetkinlii vi). Tasarmla ile ilgili uygulamalarda ve akademik almalarda stratejik
yaklamlar, politika ve uygulama planlar gelitirebilme, sorumluluk alarak zm retebilme (Bamsz alabilme Ve
Sorumluluk Alabilme Yetkinlii vii). Tasarmla ile ilgili sorunlarn zmlenmesini gerektiren ortamlarda liderlik
yapabilme (Bamsz alabilme Ve Sorumluluk Alabilme Yetkinlii viii) ve ilgili konularda strateji, politika ve uygulama
planlar gelitirebilme ve elde edilen sonular, kalite sreleri erevesinde deerlendirebilme (Alana zg Yetkinlik xv).
Endstri rnleri tasarm alannda edindii uzmanlk dzeyindeki problem zme ve/veya uygulama bilgi ve becerilerini
eletirel bir yaklamla deerlendirebilme, renmesini ynlendirebilme (renme Yetkinlii ix). Tasarm aratrmalar
yoluyla kltrel ve sosyal normlar eletirel bir bak as ile inceleyebilme, gelitirebilme ve gerektiinde deitirmek
zere mdahale edebilme (letiim ve Sosyal Yetkinlik xi).
Endstri rnleri tasarm alanndaki gncel gelimeleri ve kendi almalarn, nicel ve nitel veriler ile destekleyerek,
alanndaki ve alan dndaki gruplara, yazl, szl ve grsel olarak sistemli biimde aktarabilme (letiim Ve Sosyal
Yetkinlik x). Tezli programlarda, kendi almalarn, tasarm alanndaki uluslararas platformlarda, yazl, szl ve/veya
grsel olarak aktarabilme (Alana zg Yetkinlik xvii).
Bir yabanc dili en az Avrupa Dil Portfy B2 genel dzeyinde kullanarak szl ve yazl iletiim kurabilme (letiim Ve
Sosyal Yetkinlik xii). Tasarm aratrma alannn gerektirdii dzeyde biliim ve iletiim teknolojilerini ileri seviyede
kullanabilme (letiim ve Sosyal Yetkinlik xiii).
Endstri rnleri tasarm alan ile ilgili verilerin toplanmas, yorumlanmas, uygulanmas ve duyurulmas aamalarnda
toplumsal, bilimsel, kltrel ve etik deerleri gzeterek denetleyebilme ve bu deerleri retebilme (Alana zg Yetkinlik
xiv).

Developing and intensifying knowledge in industrial product design, based upon the competency in the undergraduate level (Sufficient
Knowledge) (Knowledge); Solving the problems faced in the area by making use of the research methods (Skill); the ability to use the
expert-level theoretical and practical knowledge acquired in the area (Skill).
Grasping the inter-disciplinary interaction related to industrial product design (Knowledge); interpreting and forming new types of
knowledge by combining the knowledge from the area and the knowledge from various other disciplines (Skill); using the knowledge
and the skills for problem solving and/or application (which are processed within the area) in inter-disciplinary studies (Area Specific
Competency).
The ability to carry out a specialistic study related to industrial product design independently. (Competence To Work ndependently And
Take Responsibility); developing new strategic approaches to solve the unforeseen and complex problems arising in the practical
processes and academic studies of design and coming up with solutions while taking responsibility (Competence To Work Independently

Assessing the problem solving skills and/or knowledge for practice that has been acquired in the field of industrial product design at a
specialistic level, with a critical view and directing ones own learning process (Learning Competence); ability to study and develop
social and cultural norms with a critical look and the ability to intervene to change these when necessary (Communication And Social
Competency).
Systematically transferring the current developments in industrial product design and ones own work, supported by qualitative and
quantitative evidence, to other circles in written, oral and visual forms (Communication and Social Competency); in programs where a
thesis is required, the ability to present ones own work within the international environments orally, visually and in written forms (Area
Specific Competency).
Proficiency in a foreign language at least European Language Portfolio B2 Level- and establishing written, oral and visual
communication and developing argumentation skills with that language (Communication and Social Competency).Using computer
software together with the information and communication technologies efficiently and according to the needs of the area

Paying regard to social, scientific, cultural and ethical values during the collecting,interpreting, practicing and announcing processes of
