Internship Opportunity

Vincent Perez serves as County Commissioner for Precinct 3 on the El Paso County Commissioners Court. As
Commissioner, he represents more than 200,000 residents in Far East El Paso County and the Mission Valley.
Commissioner Perez is seeking highly motivated and responsible individuals to assist with the day-to-day
operations in the Downtown/Fabens office as part of our team. Interns will assist in a wide variety of
administrative tasks and some policy work during the internship period. Interns are expected to commit to at
least 15-20 hours a week with some days dedicated to the Fabens office during the fall semester (SeptemberDecember).
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include answering phones and greeting visitors, meeting with constituents, assisting with office
communications and tasks, researching policy issues and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic and be comfortable working as part of our team.
Candidates should have excellent organization and communication skills, a working knowledge of modern
office equipment, and ability to multi-task in a high-pressure environment.
Preferred Qualifications
We accept all college majors, but majors in Political Science, Business or Journalism are preferred. This
internship is meant for undergraduate sophomores, juniors or seniors.
