The Information Management Associate Program (IMAP) is a development program
designed to place associates in a variety of exciting roles within Information Technology
functions at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Our organization is responsible for vital capabilities and
services that drive better business outcomes for our employees, business units and
ultimately our most important stakeholder our patients. This program helps us identify
potential future information technology and business leaders for Bristol-Myers Squibb. As
part of the program, you will have the opportunity to rotate through three information
technology functions at BMS to give you broad exposure into several aspects of our
organization and business.

The IMAP is looking for candidates interested in gaining valuable IT related exposure to BMS
businesses including Research &Development, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Commercial
and Enterprise functions. You will be instrumental in the delivering of IT strategies and will be
challenged to make recommendations with business impact.
Assignments may include:
Business analysis, understanding the business needs, gathering their requirements
and defining the functional specifications to fulfill them
Project management, driving and owning the timelines and associated deliverables
of specific projects or programs
Business relationship management, acting as a liaison between BMS IT units and
BMS business units ensuring the quality of delivery services teams and outside vendors

in the most cost effective manner

Emerging technology research, exploring and understanding new technology trends


that can be incorporated as new capabilities within the BMS organization

The IMAP is 2 years and includes three eight-month rotations, giving you exposure to several
functions. The program ensures you will gain valuable industry and functional experience,
contribute meaningfully to teams through challenging assignments, learn about BMS, and
meet senior executives and others from across the company.

Include the must have requirements:

A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or combined MBA/MIS (Masters in


Information Systems) within the past two years.

A minimum of 4 years of relevant information technology or other relevant industry


experience.

Ideal Candidates Would Also Have:

An understanding of how to analyze, assess and provide innovative solutions to


challenging business issues.
The ability to draw conclusions from complex situations, then recommend and
execute a course of action in both a timely and decisive manner.
Demonstrated leadership experience through either: professional work, student
organizations, professional organizations, and community involvement.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to organize and
present ideas in a convincing and compelling manner to small or large audiences in
multiple levels within the organization.
The ability to work autonomously in small and large teams.
Diverse thinking with innovative ideas and new approaches to maximize
opportunities.
Passion and desire to work with technology and bring new ideas to BMS.
Skilled in Oral & Written Communication across all levels of the Organization.
