The candidates who have been placed in Merit List/ Eligible for Wait List in
AIPVT-2016 result on the basis of their score in All India Pre-Veterinary Test
(AIPVT)-2016 conducted by the Veterinary Council of India on 14th May, 2016.
Candidates may download the Result from the Councils website. Cutoff
marks of candidates who have been placed in Merit List/ Eligible for Wait List
is given in the Result declared on 20th June, 2016.
All India Rank (AIR) is over all All India Rank based on AIPVT-2016 Score on
all India basis.
Category Rank is over all All India Category Rank on all India basis based on
AIPVT-2016 Score and Category filled up by the candidate in the Application
Form.
The allotment of Seats shall be made through ONLINE and ONSPOT
counseling as follows :
1st and 2nd Round - Through online
3rd Round - OnSpot by Personal Appearance
The following steps are involved in the Counseling process:
Registration of Candidates for Counseling :
(Only by those placed in Merit/ eligible for Wait List)
Candidates have to first register themselves for participating in AIPVT-2016
counseling in the Councils website. The registration can be done by entering
requisite information like Candidates Name, Mother Name, date of birth, roll
number, application number etc.
Candidates who are registered shall only be considered for counseling for
admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. course under 15% All India Quota.
Round-1 through online:
During round 1 of AIPVT 2016 counseling, only the registered candidates
have the option of choice filling and locking. Choices for colleges opted will
be processed for allotment of seats. Steps involved shall be as follows:
a. Filling of Choices for colleges, alteration of choices and Locking of choices
b. Allotment of Seats based on rank and choices filled in Round 1
c. Publication of Result-Round 1
d. Reporting at the allotted College against Round 1
Candidates who shall not report after seat allotment in round 1 at
allotted colleges shall not be eligible for counseling in further rounds.
Round-2 through online:
During round 2 of counseling, only the registered candidates have the option
to change/alter their choices as selected in round 1 and can also submit new
choices. Choices for colleges opted will be processed for allotment of seats. In
round 2 there will be no new registration. Steps involved shall be as
follows:
a. Exercising of Additional Choice Filling, Choice Alteration and Locking
b. Allotment of Seats based on rank and choices filled in Round 2
c. Publication of Result-Round 2
d. Reporting at the allotted College against Round 2
Candidates who shall not report after seat allotment in round 2 at
allotted colleges shall not be eligible for counseling in further rounds.
Round-3 ONSPOT BY PERSONAL APPEARANCE :
During round 3 of counseling, only the registered candidates shall be
considered for onspot counseling.
The venue and detail schedule of onspot counseling by personal
appearance shall be displayed at Councils website after completion of
2nd round of online counseling.
Please note that Registration facility will be available only before start of
Round-1 on date as given in counseling Schedule. Candidates cannot
register after closing date of Registration.

Allotment process will start as per counseling schedule available on Councils


website.
For detail of commencement of academic session for current year, the college
authorities may be contacted by the candidate.
No. Online registration and choice filling can be done from place of
convenience (including from home) using internet on Councils website.
The registration can be done by entering requisite information like
Candidates Name, Mothers Name, date of birth, roll number, application
number etc. as given in Confirmation Page/ Admit Card.
IMPORTANT:
Please keep Confirmation Page/ Admit Card ready and keep it
confidential, and do not share with anybody as requisite information
shall be required to register for online allotment process and submit
choices. If somebody else knows that information, he/she can misuse
your online registration and prevent you from taking part in online
allotment process.
You will be required to fill requisite information like Candidates Name,
Mothers Name, date of birth, roll number, application number etc. given in
your Confirmation Page/ Admit Card, therefore, keep copy of your
Confirmation Page/ Admit Card ready for reference.
IMPORTANT:
Please note that for registration, you have to fill in requisite information
exactly same spelling, numbers etc. as given in your Confirmation Page/
Admit Card.
During the process of online registration you will generate password as per
password policy, which will be shown to you when you register and create
password. You can change the password after creating. Password is very
important for participating in online allotment process. Sharing of password
can result in its misuse by somebody else, leading to even exclusion of
genuine candidate from online allotment process.
Please also note and remember your password till end of All India Quota
admission process; otherwise you will not be able to participate in
counseling/admission process.
IMPORTANT:
Candidates are advised to keep the password that they have created
confidential till the end of the counseling/admission process.
The candidates allotted seats will be required to join the allotted college within
stipulated time given in counseling schdule.
The candidate is advised to report and join the allotted College as early as
possible but not later than the stipulated period, as mentioned in counseling
schedule, failing which the allotted seat will be cancelled and the candidate
will not be eligible to participate in subsequent rounds of counsling.
In some of the allotted Colleges, 2-3 days time is required to complete
admission formalities. Please also take into consideration holiday(s)/local
holiday(s).
The candidates are further advised to contact the allotted college authorities
for details before proceeding for admission. The detail of College authorities to
whom to be contacted by the candidate is given on Councils website under
heading College Details.
The candidates, who fail to report/join the allotted college by the last
date of reporting / joining, shall forfeit his/her claim for a seat under
15% All India Quota. No extension of reporting/joining time will be
allowed by the Council under any circumstances.
No documents are required for participating in online allotment process.

(i) SC/ST Certificate as per format given in Appendix-I. Sub caste should be
clearly mentioned in the certificate.
(ii) OBC Certificate as per format given in Appendix-II. The sub-caste should
tally with the Central List of OBC. The OBC candidates should not belong
to Creamy Layer to claim OBC reservation benefit.
(iii) Locomotor Disability Certificate as per format given in Appendix-III. The
disabiltiy should be certified by a duly constituted and authorised Medical
Board comprising of atleast three specialists out of which two should be of
the speciality concerned and the candidate has to present him/her self
before the Medical Board. The last valid disability certificate of the
candidate from a Medical Board should not be more than three months
old from the date of submitting.
(iv) The candidates from Jammu & Kashmir who have uploaded Self
Declaration claiming their eligibility under 15% All India Quota shall have
to submit an affidavit as per Appendix-IV on Non Judicial Stamp Paper of
Rs.10/- duly attested by Metropolitan Magistrate/ First Class Judicial
Magistrate.
Instructions are given at Point 4 under ELIGIBILITY and Point 5 under
ADMISSION AND RESERVATION in Information Bulletin for AIPVT-2016
admission.
The Physically Handicapped/Disability (PH) certificate should be obtained as
per format given in Appendix-III (in the standard format) from a Disability
Assessment Board in a Government Hospital authorized to issue Locomotor
Disability Certificate.
The Physically Handicapped/Disable (PH) candidates are required to carry
their treatment papers related to their disability, including the investigation
reports, at the time of reporting to the Disability Assessment Board in the
Government Hospital for issuance of the Locomotor Disability Certificate.
Instructions are given at Point 4 under Physical Disability in Information
Bulletin for AIPVT-2016 admission.
No, you can give as many choices as you wish during online choice filling.
However, choices should be in order of candidates preference.
Candidates have to first register themselves for participating in AIPVT-2016
counseling in the Councils website. Candidates who are not registered
shall not be considered for counseling for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H.
course under 15% All India Quota.
Yes, it is necessary to lock the choices. If candidate does not lock the choices
submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked on last date of choice
locking given in the Counseling Schedule.
You have to fill up the choice of colleges in order of your preference. While

exercising choices for colleges, candidate can interchange their opted choices
number of times. But once the choice is locked and saved by candidates they
cannot be either changed or unlocked. Once the choice is locked by
candidates, the list of selected colleges as per choice will appear on the screen
for printing. If you dont fill up choices, you will not be allotted seats.

IMPORTANT :
If you dont register and fill up choices during registration period, you
will not be allotted seat. Please also note that registration can only be
done before allotment of round -1, during period specified in Counseling
Schedule.
Dont wait till the last minute to Register and Lock your choices and to
take a printout. Please go through your submitted choices before
locking, as once you lock the choices they cannot be modified or
changed even if you have made a mistake. It may result in allotment of a
seat which you never wanted.
Yes, candidates are required to join allotted college and complete the
admission formalities then only candidate can exercise option to participate in
next round(s) at allotted college, during admission process.
If seats in a College are increased/decreased or Names of Colleges are added/
deleted that could not be included in round 1 due to non-reporting / late
reporting/ reporting after start of round 1 of online allotment process, will be
included in round 2 on receiving information from participating Colleges
before the start of round 2 (publication of the seat matrix).
Similarly, if seats in a College are increased/decreased or Names of Colleges
are added/deleted that could not be included in round 2 due to non-reporting
/ late reporting/ reporting after start of round 2 of online allotment process,
will be included in round 3 on receiving information from participating
Colleges before the start of round 3(publication of the seat matrix).
During round 1 of counseling, only the registered candidates have the option

During round 2 of counseling, only the registered candidates have the option

In round 2 there will be no new registration.
Following candidates shall be eligible for Round 2 Counseling:
Registered candidates who did not get any seat in the AIPVT 2016
counseling in round 1 as per choices filled up
Candidates who were allotted seat in round 1 and have reported/ joined
the college and gave option for change of college in round 2
Candidates who were allotted seat in round 1 and have reported the
college for admission. However, allotted Seat Cancelled during the
document verification on reporting for admission due to change of
Category from reserved to Unreserved or PH status from Yes to No, will be
considered for allotment of seat in the next round of seat allotment, with
changed Category, subject to availability of seat in respective category.
Following candidates shall not be eligible for Round 2 Counseling:
Candidates who did not register themselves for AIPVT 2016 counseling
during registration process on the Councils website.
Candidates who did not report at allotted Veterinary colleges after seat
allotment in round 1
Reported for admission & then withdrawn / resigned allotted college in
round 1
Candidates who have not opted for change of college during round-2.
In round 3, the allotment of Seats shall be made through OnSpot by
Personal Appearance of the candidates.

The College/Category wise number of seats available for Round 3 shall be


made available on Councils website.
All the seats remaining vacant after the process of allotment of 3rd
round of counseling or falling vacant thereafter due to any reasons shall
be filled up by the State.
During the round 3 of counseling, only the registered candidates shall be
considered for onspot counseling. In round 3 there will be no new
registration.
Following candidates shall be eligible for Round 3 Counseling:
Registered candidates who did not get any seat in the AIPVT 2016
counseling in round 1 or round 2 as per choices filled up
Candidates who were allotted seat in round 2 and have reported/ joined
the college and gave option for change of college in round 3.
Candidates who were allotted seat in round 2 and have reported the
college for admission. However, allotted Seat Cancelled during the
document verification on reporting for admission due to change of
Category from reserved to Unreserved or PH status from Yes to No, will be
considered for allotment of seat, with changed Category, subject to

In case candidate is allotted seat during round 2 of allotment process the seat
allotted during the round 1 will be automatically cancelled immediately (and
allotted to somebody else) and candidate will have to join the college allotted
during round 2 after obtaining online generated relieving letter from college
allotted in Round-1. If candidate does not join the college allotted during the
round 2, within stipulated period, as per schedule, from the date of allotment,
candidate will forfeit his/her allotted seat and will not be considered for
subsequent rounds of seat allotment.
Seat can also be up-graded in the same college by change of category (i.e.
ST/SC/OBC to UR) in such a case also the candidate has to take fresh
admission on the up-graded seat, as per procedure.
The same procedure will apply for allotment in round-3.
To retrieve the forgotten password, system facilitates the following
process:
The candidate is required to enter the information that he/she filled at the
time of registration and then security question & answer thereon to be
entered as given during New Candidate registration process. The above data
submitted by candidate will be validated with the registered candidates
database. If the above entries match, then only the candidate would be

permitted to enter new password to proceed further.

IMPORTANT
Candidates are advised to remember the password, Security question &
its chosen answer and also retain their Confirmation Page/ Admit Card
ready till completion of admission process. It is not possible for the VCI
to retrieve such password.
Certificates issued by the competent authority (in standard format), should be
in English or Hindi language. Candidates are advised to carry certified
(attested) Copy of English version of the original certificate, in case certificate
issued is in other than English language, along with original certificate.
If there is discrepancy in spelling of name in documents, candidate must
carry proof that the documents belongs to same person, in the form of an
affidavit.
Copy of Information Bulletin for AIPVT-2016 admission is available on
Councils website.
The College wise fee detail for current year is given on Councils website under
heading College Details. However, for exact fee the college authorities may
be contacted by the candidate.
Candidates will have to log on to Councils website to get registered and then
fill in choices.

It is advised that after going through the list of seats available, a tentative list
may be prepared first as per your preference of colleges, before attempting to
fill choices on-line.
No. At present there is no Veterinary college which admits Girls only.
Please read User manual for the candidates. Follow the instructions about use
of browser, use of same spellings, and same format of date (Use digits for day,
month and year with in between) as in Confirmation Page / Admit Card. The
internet connection should be uninterrupted. If internet connection
interruption takes place, the IP address which is being monitored by the
Counseling Software, will change and session expired message will be
displayed. In such case, please try to login from other computer having
uninterrupted internet connection from which other candidate(s) has logged
in successfully, if possible.
Creation of password should be as per password policy. Please follow the
password policy. Please use the internet browser as suggested in user
manual, as it is difficult to login from some of the other browsers. While
creating password avoid using Caps Lock key, instead of Caps Lock key, use
shift key.
This can happen if roll number typed is incorrect or password typed is
incorrect. Password is case sensitive, therefore use password which was
created by user exactly same as typed while creating. In case password is
forgotten, try to retrieve password by using security question and its answer.
There shall be no fresh choice filling before Round 3 of OnSpot
counseling by Personal Appearance.
During round 3 of counseling, only the registered candidates shall be
considered for onspot counseling. In round 3 there will be no new
registration.

However, the registration of Candidates (New Users) is permitted up to specific
date as mentioned in Counseling Schedule.
The choices submitted and saved by you will be locked by the system on the
last date of locking.
After last date of locking/ after locking of choices by the system, you will be
able to take a printout of your submitted choices, during the first and second
round of seat allotment and admission. You will also be able to see your
locked choices and able to take a print out of the same at allotted College at
the time of admission on request.
In case you are not allotted any seat in the third round, you will retain earlier
allotted seat. However on allotment of a seat in third round, the earlier
allotted seat will automatically be cancelled and allotted to another candidate.
No, you will have to get online generated relieving letter from the earlier
college (from VCC software - will be given by the college authority), before you
join the next college. Without such relieving letter candidate will not be
permitted to join the seat allotted in round-2/round-3.
Yes, you have to get a relieving letter generated on-line for the earlier seat and
then get an admission letter again generated on-line for the upgraded category
seat from the concerned college; otherwise your seat will be cancelled and
allotted to another candidate or shifted to state quota (in case of third round).
