III. Reflection:
This exercise was all about constructing and computing sample of grades of five imaginary
students using the K-12 grading system. I learned that in computing grades using the K-12 grading
system, you just need to compute the percentage of each four levels of assessment the: Knowledge,
Process, Understanding, and Products/Performances and then add the overall percentage to come up
with a grade with the corresponding levels of proficiency. After computing the grades, its the time that
you will be able to determine on what level of proficiency the child belongs either Advanced,
Proficient, Approaching Proficiency, Developing or Beginning. This activity is very useful to me. And
this will serve as my stepping stone as a future teacher, in a way, that this type of grading system will
help me to assess the performance of my students in the future.
