ABSTRACT

The investigation concerning the distribution of salt water, especially in the area
around the beach is needed because this region is highly vulnerable areas
imbalance groundwater to seawater, while the need for ground water will
continue to rise. For it has been done regarding the deployment saltwater
identification to determine the zone of seawater intrusion in District
Mangarabombang Takalar with geoelectric resistivity method using Schlumberger
electrode configuration, the number of points sounding much as 6 points. The
acquisition of field data were processed using the program Ipi2win processing
results in the form of depth, thickness and amount of bedding and resistivity were
used to describe the subsurface resistivity cross-section area of research. From
the data that has been processed in the program obtained results Ipi2win 1D
resistivity cross-section, the results of the analysis of data from the 6 point
soundings indicate seawater intrusion zones based on the variation of the
resistivity sounding one point it started a depth of 33 meters, which put 2 starts
sounding depth 54 meters, which put sounding 4 start a depth of 70 meters, which
put 6 start sounding the depth of 65 meters with sea water resistivity
value of 0.2 m.
