Rules for the Lord of the Rings Board Game

1. This game is for 2 to 4 players. One extra person acts as the
question/answer judge.
2. Each player spins the dial and moves their respective piece
ahead that many places.
3. If the player lands on a question mark, he draws from the pile
of question cards and reads the question out loud.
4. If the player answers the question correctly, he moves ahead
one square. If the player answers incorrectly, he moves back one
square. The answers are read only by the question and answer
judge.
5. If the player lands on a non-question mark square, he follows
the instructions on the square, if there are any. Otherwise, no
action needs to be taken.
6. Player chooses between Jack or Ralph's tribe near the end of
the game.
7. The person getting to the rescue boat first wins the game.

Answer Key

1. Piggy has asthma.

2. Piggy and Ralph find a conch shell and it is used by making a

loud noise when you blow in it.

3. The boys make rules that they are on the island to have fun
and survive. The other rule is they can only talk if they have the
conch.

4. Jack volunteers his choir to keep the fire going so it never goes
out.

5. The signal fire went out.

6.They were hunting with Jack.

7.Piggy pointed out to Jack that he had promised to keep the fire
going but failed to keep his promise so the fire went out. Jack
flings Piggy's glasses and breaks one lens.

8. The gift for the beast is a pig's head on a spear.

9. The beast was Simon.

10. The boys kill him. The deafening thunder made it so they
could not hear Simon. The lightening terrorized them. Out of the
terror arose a new desire to kill so they killed Simon. They also
thought he was the beast.

11.They want fire and Piggy's glasses. They fight each other.
Piggy thought they wanted the conch.

12. Piggy is hit on the head by a rock and it kills him along with
shattering the conch. Roger does this.

13. A naval ship sees the smoke on the island lands and finds the
kids. The smoke is from the fire used to find Ralph in the forest.

Explanation of the Lord of the Flies Game

The boys go from being on a plane to being stranded on an island
after crashing, they fight for their lives and eventually make their
way to a rescue boat.
61 spaces to make it to your safety on the rescue boat.
14 questions that may either help or hinder you along the way.
4 obstacles and one gain along the way.
Player can choose between Jack's and Ralph's route/tribe to
rescue.
