Please accept this as a letter of reference and support for Mrs. Madison Minor and her candidacy for the
position with your organization. Madison is a wonderful student who I have taught in our graduate education
programs in instructional technology at Coastal Carolina University in 2012-2013 (MEd) and 2015-2016 (EdS).
During this time, Madison consistently performed at a superior level on all of her assignments and personal
interactions. She has a wide array of technology skills and is an outstanding teacher. She is professional and
polite in and outside of class and is both consistent and thorough in her performance on all observable levels.
Madison invests the time necessary to do a great job on everything she attempts. Madison is the epitome of a
mature, self-directed learner who takes her work seriously and does not need to be externally motivated by
others in order to do a good job. Madison has the talents necessary to be successful in graduate-level classes and
has what it takes to be a contributive member of a dynamic workforce.
Throughout my experiences with Madison in class and in online virtual environments, I have seen her handle
complex tasks, coordinate projects, lead teams through challenges and gain the respect of classmates, professors
and administrators through her positive attitude and work ethic. As a student in our classes, Madison not only
excelled in her work, but also helped other students who may have been struggling due to a lack of experience,
understanding of the material or personal issues. She gladly assisted many students and took the lead on tasks
without regard to the additional stress or work it required her to put forth.
Madisons experiences at Coastal Carolina University are greatly enhanced by her background as a teacher.
Building off of her work as a teacher, she has taken her knowledge and skills as an educator to a higher level
through her ability to integrate technology into instruction. She is versed in many current technologies and
practices such as designing online instruction, video production, e-portfolios development, multimedia design
and the use of tablet technologies/app-based instruction.
Overall, I recommend Madison with highest regards and without reservations. Based on my observations, I
believe that Madison will be a very successful employee in whatever position she secures. She is a dynamic
individual with a great personality who wants to succeed. I think that she has what it takes to be prosperous in
any work environment and I believe that she will be a productive and pleasant member of your organization. If I
