1. Title of the Article : Wanted: Mars.. Dead or Alive?
2. Author : Geoffrey A. Landis 3. Explain in two or three sentences why you have chosen this article. I chose this article because its interesting to find out a lot more about Mars, the planet that is being rumoured as a planet a lot like earth. I also wanted to know wether its possible or not for living being to actually live there because Mars once had liquid water, so it might have a life back then. 4. Explain Briefly in four or five sentences what the article is about. The article is talking about a Mariner 4, a camera that revealed the truth about Mars that actually was bitterly cold and dry, held no trace of life, and was not so much like earth after all. Scientist think that long ago, Mars had liquid water and had a much thicker atmosphere. If that assumptions are correct, then Mars might once have supported a life as well. But if there was once a life, then that life forms would have serious adapting to do since the surface of Mars today is extremely hars, no water, and a very thin atmosphere with no oxygen. Right now, some scientists are proposing plans for an expedition to mars in fifteen to twenty years time. 5. What is the writers message or purpose in writing this article? The writers purpose in writing this article is he wanted to tell us that Mars is not a planet a lot like earth after all. It doesnt support life, at least for now, with its dry surface and no oxygen. But there are still possibilities, and the scientists are trying to discover more about Mars, the Red Planet. 6. Give your personal comment on the article as a conclusion of your article review. In conclusion, Mars as a planet might be not a great place to start a life. Its proven with the close-up view given by the camera that Mars was a desert with thin atmosphere, and its harsh surface with no oxygen at all. Scientist should try to investigate other planets that have possibilities for living being to live.

1. Title of the Article : Alian Species: Fitting In
2. Author : Mark Derr 3. Explain in two or three sentences why you have chosen this article. Id like to know about if aliens truly existed and if they are, what actions have they done and what are the results of their existence. Moreover, I also wanted to find out the aliens actual behaviours in earth, do they came in peace or do they want to exploitate or maybe invasing the earth. 4. Explain Briefly in four or five sentences what the article is about. The assumption that aliens, as non-native species, have a presence that can never be acceptable in a natural ecosystem, was being questioned by the scientist. There are a few kinds of species, two of them are native and exoctic, which both can become invasive. Out of 150,000 species of alien, 7,000 of them are invasive, so its only about 10 percent. The other 90 percent have fit and naturalized to the environtment. For exotic species, ecologists argue about the need to actively take precautions to prevent exotic species from becoming problematic, and that is to remove them from the natural ecosystems, but somehow that is still impractical. 5. What is the writers message or purpose in writing this article? The writer wants to give informations to the reader that species from any kind, including native and exotic can become invasive and causing harm to environtment. In terms of alien species, not all of them are damaging the environtment. The writer wanted to tell us too that exotic species are being argued wether to remove them or just let them be because they might have become integrated into ecosystems. 6. Give your personal comment on the article as a conclusion of your article review. In conclusion, species that are harmful and have possibilities to be invasive should be monitored and controlled. Other than that, alien as a species, as long as it doesnt do any harm, it should be fine to live here on earth. But for exotic species, precautions to remove them from natural ecosystems should be taken if the species begin to get out of hand.
