Narrative Report

On my fourth year in engineering at LSPU Santa Cruz, I feel this is the hardest
year to all and harder than to be a fifth year students. The subjects are mostly our major
like Advance Mathematics, Electrical Problem Solving, and Electrical Designing. All of
us with my classmates are always busy in school even at home. Always sleepless and
lack of sleep at night because of doing our assignments, reviewing lecture, designing in
plates with AutoCAD, and many more.
The first semester of school year was very hard as I expected. I cant feel relief
always my school days. Pressure to all things, when examination near comes and Im
reviewing subjects while doing projects and designs. I have no time to do other things
except of studying that tend me to focus even weekends. But despite of all I will always
do not forget my obligation to praise, to glorify, and to give things to God. Sometimes I
felt to hate myself when Im failed in quizzes and exams even I focus and do my best it
is hard to me excel. Im always give thanks to God to all whether there is a good thing or
bad thing happen to me, I know there is a reason. In this semester I survive and pass all
my subjects.
In second semester, the school athletics started in training for intramurals. I didnt
participated in the main sports event but I join to palarong panlahi to gain extra point to
our team. Our team got third place out of five teams. After that event, the victory party
happened at night. In educational tour we all obligated to participate that will help to
have a title for thesis, also we are the next will become fifth year student. The present
fifth year have a many expenses especially to their separate five-day field trip and thesis
prototype. This semester is the start of our research method or thesis 1. We divided into
groups consist of three members per group. We should create a title, each group should
provide a three project title. That title should have course relationship so it should be
about and focus in electrical new devices and new experiments. Our group pass in title
defense. The preparation for proposal defense is the next but we have problem to our
approve title to make it possible so we fail in the proposal defense. The re-defense for
proposal will happens in summer class. Our final grade with my group is pass except in
thesis 1 which is incomplete. To complete that we should make sure to have a approve
title in the proposal defense. Before that, the On-The-Job training begins at the end of
second semester which is summer OJT.
I applied my OJT at First Laguna Electric Cooperative, Inc. (FLECO) which is
located at Lumban, Laguna. That company is power supply distribution like MERALCO.
I assign with my co-OJT in the meter calibration and substation maintenance. Our whole
working time was 240 hours that equivalent to 30 days of 8 hours per day. Many new

things Ive been learn during OJT to work in actual not to only compute or designing.
After the OJT, me and my thesis mate prepare for the re-defense in the proposal.
Luckily they approved our propose title. So, we can now complete our incomplete grade
to be a regular graduating students in the next school year.
Despite of many hardship, pressure, and problems we didnt just give up and
never showed weakness. We all know theres God to lend a hand and encourage us to
just go ahead to our goals. With my classmates all together helping each other in many
things specially to support to move forward and help others to recover from fail. Theres
a concern to each everyone for no reason to lose hope. Also we have adviser teach us
to do better work, love what are doing, challenge ourselves, be more discipline, and be
a role model to our juniors. And to my parents are always supporting, loving and caring
to us. My mother wake up me for not to being late, my father working hard to abroad. I
give thanks to God for having them.SS
