Mission: We cultivate a vibrant learning community that prepares students to thrive
in a dynamic world.

KEY ACTION STEPS

RIGOR ACTION STEPS:

The Administrative Team, Student Services, and Instructional Team Leaders will analyze data derived from
the PSATs and College Board, student schedules and transcripts to identify the most rigorously appropriate
courses for each student, encouraging all students at the 70% AP Potential threshold to enroll in an AP
course.

Curricular Action teams will create assessments and lessons driven by AP specific SLOs and College Board
Performance Analysis Reports. These resources will allow students the opportunity to analyze, discuss, and
understand the demands and requirements of AP rubrics, AP style questions, and AP writing prompts.

Student Services, in conjunction with other staff members, will create and host intervention and enrichment
sessions and services such as Academic Success Night, AP Fridays, AP mentoring, and NHS tutoring to
provide students opportunities to prepare, hone study skills and strategies, and
reinforce AP concepts.
PERFORMANCE ACTION STEPS:

Student Services Team and Administrative Team will use SAT Counselor Report to identify students who
have/have not registered for the SAT on a monthly basis. Based on the report, Student Services will
strategically encourage students to retake/register for the SAT as well as participate in preparation courses
and SAT help sessions. Student Services Team will coordinate information sessions to promote the SAT and
ACT.

The SIT Performance/Rigor subcommittee will create a SAT mentor program for seniors registered for the
October and November SAT. Mentors and counselors will encourage unregistered seniors to register. The
SAT mentors will meet with their mentees once a week to provide resources and support in preparation for
the SAT.

All teachers will infuse and embed evidence based reading skills into their lessons in order to align with the
new SAT and their current curricula.
