Ways of talking about the future 1

WILL is used when there is no


special plan; it is something you
predict or see as inevitable, or an
offer at the moment of speaking:
Examples:
In 50 years time there will
be more pollution.
I'm sure you'll pass your
exam.
I think they'll get married.
A: My case is heavy!
B: Oh, Ill carry it for
you

The PRESENT SIMPLE

is

used for timetables, programmes,


etc., and in time clauses after
words like: when, before, after,
until, as soon as, etc.
Examples:
The train leaves at 6 oclock..
The English lessons start next
week.
Wait here until I come back.
Ill call you as soon as I arrive.
