AccordingtoCunningham,"Ichosewikiwikiasanalliterativesubstitutefor'quick'andtherebyavoidednamingthisstuff

Cunninghamwas,inpart,inspiredbyApple'sHyperCard,whichhehadused.Hypercard,however,wassingleuser.[14]Apple
haddesignedasystemallowinguserstocreatevirtual"cardstacks"supportinglinksamongthevariouscards.Cunningham
developedVannevarBush'sideasbyallowingusersto"commentonandchangeoneanother'stext."[1][15]Cunninghamsayshis
