How to freeze Rows/Columns or


Rows and Columns in an Excel Table

Open the excel sheet with table

TO FREEZE ROWS
1. Select the row just below the row or rows you want to
freeze or you can select the left most cell immediately
below the row/rows to be freezed

The row below the targeted row to be


freezed is now selected.

Go to the view tab and choose the


option Freeze Panes

Click on the option- Freeze Panes .


O.K. , The row is freezed.

TO FREEZE COLUMNS
1. Select the column just right to the column or columns you
want to freeze or you can select the upper-most Cell
immediately to the right of the column/columns to be freezed.

Go to the view tab and choose the option Freeze


Panes. O.K. the targeted column is freezed.

TO FREEZE BOTH COLUMNS AND ROWS SIMULTANEOUSLY


Select the cell(corner cell) adjacent to the rows and
columns you want to freeze (shown in Yellow).

Go to the view tab.


Select the freeze panes command

Click on the command Freeze Panes. O.K. the


row and column are freezed simultaneously.
