This is a Six Month Diploma course offered in Distance Learning mode. The program is divided into two
trimesters. Applicants can complete the program in minimum of six months and maximum of one year. The
program is ideal for working professionals and banking aspirants staying in distant cities.
FEATURES OF DIPLOMA IN BANKING

Study material provided for all subjects at the beginning of the program.

As supplementary to the course material, exhaustive video lectures on various subjects of the
syllabusare uploaded for better understanding of the curriculum.

E-learning toolkit is provided for every subject. Through this web based toolkit, student can refer
summary, power point presentation and practice test for each and every chapter of all the subjects.

Students will be evaluated at regular intervals through online trimester exam. Welingkar will dispatch
the study material to the students on their correspondence addresses for the entire course.

about various matters like time table, guidelines etc. Students are requested to regularly visit the
website to get the latest notices. Major communication is also made through letter, email as well as
through SMSes.

Graduates from any recognized university or Class XII Passed and having two years full
time work experience post CIass XII.

EXAM PATTERN
There are two modules of three months duration. There will be an online exam of 100
marks for each subject at the end of each trimester. All exams are application oriented
and have objective type question papers to test the analytical ability of the students. A
student has to score minimum 50% in each subject to pass.

AWARD OF CERTIFICATES
On successful completion of the first trimester---Diploma in Retail Banking
(Distance Learning)
On successful completion of the second trimester--- Diploma in Banking (Distance
Learning)

ADMISSION PROCESS, FEE PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS DETAIL

Admissions are open throughout the year. There are four batches in a year January, April, July and October.
The Prospectus & Application form for the One Year Diploma Programs
can be purchased from the office of our institution at the below
mentioned address.
Cost of Application form is Rs.300/- in person or Rs. 350/- by post through
demand draft. The DD should be made payable to 'Welingkar Institute of
Management' at Mumbai and sent at the given address.

You can also download the application form from our website in which case Rs.
350/- will be added to the program fee. Kindly take a print-out of the filled in form
and with the below mentioned enclosures send it to the institute address given
above. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to download the duly filled in form.

FEE STRUCTURE

The entire program fees are Rs. 12000/- to be paid in full at the time of
admission.

Course fees are inclusive of exam fees. However, for subjects, which are not
cleared during the trimester or subjects for which students do not appear for
exam, will carry additional exam fees of Rs. 400/- per subject.

All fees are payable either in Credit card/ Debit card or by local cheque / demand
draft drawn in favour of 'Welingkar Institute of Management' payable at Mumbai.

CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION
You can cancel your admission within 30 days from the date of your registration by
forwarding a written application to the institute and returning your ID card and study
material.

REFUND OF FEES
Rs. 2000/- would be deducted and the balance course fees would be refunded to the
student within a period of maximum 60 days from the date of request for cancellation of
refund. There will be no refund of course fees after 30 days for any mode of payment
(i.e. one time payment of the entire fees).

FEES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

The program fees for 6 months amounts to US $ 500. The entire amount has to
be paid at the time of enrolment itself.

The program fee includes cost of study materials and examination fees.

All the course material will be couriered to the students' international address. In
case the student fails, needs or wishes to reappear for the exam/assignments,
then a flat additional fee of US $25 per trimester is payable irrespective of the
number of subjects / assignments the student wishes to appear.

EXAMINATION CENTRES

For these exams, students are required to appear from the testing centres selected by the Institute.
These centres are located in major metro cities/towns as well as few suburbs in Mumbai. Further
information about the centres can be obtained from the "Notices" section of the website. Students have
to book their examination slots in advance from our website during the stipulated time period.

AWARD OF CERTIFICATES
On successful completion of 1st Trimester: Diploma in Retail Banking (Hybrid Learning) On
successful completion of 2nd Trimester: Diploma in Banking (Hybrid Learning) Note : Depending
upon the student concentration and availability of locations, the Institute reserves the right to add or
change exam/PCP centres
