in the Limestone supply.

Unwanted tramp iron can cause the following

Jamb the Pre-Crusher causing damage
Damage Vertical Mill Internals

Magnetic Separator

The Magnetic Separator, located immediately

downstream of the Vibrating Feeder, utilizes
a manual trolley system.
This allows for the Magnetic Separator to be
pulled away from the belt so that tramp iron
can be removed by a manual scraper.

Magnetic Separator

The Magnetic Separator should be checked

on a routine basis (once per shift) for the
accumulation of tramp iron and its removal.
The inspection and cleaning periods will
fluctuate based on the amount of tramp iron
accompanying the Limestone shipment.

Magnetic Separator

When the Magnetic Separator is positioned

over the Stockout Conveyor Belt, there will
be a distance of 6-9 (152-229 mm) between the
bottom of the magnetic separator and the bottom
of the conveyor belt.

Never attempt to remove tramp iron from the
Magnetic Separator while it is positioned over
the Conveyor Belt, even if the belt is stopped.
Please refer to the O&M manual for all warnings.
