Managerial Employee- is one who is vested with the


power or prerogatives to lay down and execute managerial
policies and/or hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall,
discharge, assign or discipline employee
Supervisory Employee- is one who in the interest of the
employer, effectively recommends such managerial action
if the exercise of such authority is not merely routinary or
clerical in nature but requires the use of independent
judgment.
Rank and File Employee- is one not falling under any of
the preceding definition of managerial or supervisory
employment.

Type of employees in terms of tenure

Regular- regardless of written or oral argument, an


employment shall be deemed to be regular where the
employee has been engaged to perform activities which are
usually necessarily or desirable in the usual business or
trade of the employer
Project- where the employment has been fixed or specific
project or undertaking the completion or termination of

which has been determined at the time of engagement of


the employee.
Contractual- includes one employed by the contractor or
sub-contractor to performed or complete a job, work or
service pursuant to be arrangement between the latter of
principal.
Seasonal - where the work or service perform seasonal in
character. The employment deemed to lost only for the
duration of season.
Casual- an employment shall deemed to be casual if it is
not covered by the preceding paragraph
Probationary- as defined in article 281, which provides
probationary employment shall not exceed 6 months from
the date the employee start to working unless it is covered
by apprenticeship agreement stipulating long period.
Fixed Contract- where there a day certain agreed upon by
the parties for the commencement and termination of their
employment

Labor Relation- refers to the relationship between employee and

while the latter is not at work due to hazard beyond his control
arising from employment which immobilize him from working.
Labor legislation- intended to protect the worker from the mighty
and to correct the injustices that are inherent in employer-employee
relationship.

status, what it and the constitution do guarantee are equality of
political rights , equality before the law, equality between values
given and received, equitable sharing of the social and material goods
on the basis effort exerted in their production as applied to
metropolitan centers, especially in relation to housing problem.
