PROJECT
EFFECT ON YARN QUALITY DUE
TO DIFFERENT TYPE OF SPACER ARE USED
AND BALANCING OF MACHINES IN SPINNING
DEPARTMENT

ABSTRACT
In order to see the impact on yarn properties by changing
the spacer on ring frame(LR60), we adopt following
procedure which is following:-

1. First of all choose 5 spindle on ring frame by

randomly.
2. 5 samples of ring frame yarn would be testing by
USTER EVENNESS TESTER .
3. Then comparative study will be carried out for
processed ring yarn which is produced from adopting
different types of spacer at ring frame.

EFFECT OF SPACER ON YARN QUALITY

1. Increase in the spacer size leads to a small variation in the
actual count.
2. The spacer opening seems to have a more impact on yarn
strength.
3. CSP value falls down ; when the spacer value increase.
4. Spacer value increases, U% gets increased.
5. The hairiness value decreases as the spinning spacer
value increase.
6. Total imperfection units get increased.

METHODLOGY
We collect the sample of 32s count according to change we have
done on the ring frame on running machine .
Sample1:- Spacer thickness is 2.5mm.
Sample2:- Spacer thickness is 2.75mm.
Sample3:- Spacer thickness is 3 mm.
Sample4:- Spacer thickness is 3.5mm.
We took 4 different sample on ring frame of respective spacer
thickness on running machine.
Then we calculate the following result on ring yarn:

U%
CV%
THIN
THICK
NEPS
